Wow any parents find the P1 SA2 English was difficult & tough? My DS told me not easy & the entire class also felt the same way.

Yes, my DS and another friend's son also said the paper was tough....apparently one of the teachers commented that those who are weak in English may fail :!:

Hopefully today's Maths paper will be much easier....

I asked my DD abt her english paper and she told me that the teacher who was invigilating her class told a boy this \"XXXX, i can already see 3 mistakes on the 1st page!\"

Seems like it's really tough!

I'm wondering if my dd will fail her picture compo. The practices she did in school scored only like 5 or 6 marks...

You mean the practises there were score....i did not even notice that there were marks :shock:

Not sure whether I want it to be out so soon..... :|. The kids seem unfazed.....whereas the parents are more worried...perhaps they are still young and innocent...

I totally agree that the kids seem unfazed. All my son tells me is, \"I wish for the exam to be over quickly so that I can spend all my time playing\".

My DS also feel the same way, keep thinking of playing all the time.
Maybe they had not gone through what is meant by CA, SA etc. The Ministry is trying to move away the exam system by removing it at the P1 & P2 level.

I'm actually torn between having exams and not having.

While I agree it is unnecessary stress and the children probably do not understand the full meaning of a exam, it is still a good measure of how well the child is coping in school.

If they do it away totally in P1 and P2, I wonder if it is too late to only discover their standard only in P3. Afterall, most parents send their children to enrichment centres, this is also a good guage of how much they have been able to absorb.
