I booked the Bali Hard Rock Hotel room online. It was about $520++ USD for 4 D3N. I think some of the 5 star hotels are about this price or even more expensive, not too sure though.

I also booked Hard Rock Bali with around US520, u can email to them and ask them to arrange airport pick up for you, it is USD16 per car one way

Wow!! didn’t expect my thread on Bali could come this far. Anyway, we were supposed to go to Bali last Dec but my elder kid felt scare of flying so back out at the last minute.

A year later and older and she’s all fire up to take her 1st maiden trip on a plane, this Thursday to be exact. We opt for a 4D3N full board stay at Bali Dynasty Hotel. Cost around S$3k for the 5 of us in two rooms (3 adults + 2 children). Have considered almost all the hotels before deciding this one. It is located in Tuban and south of Kuta. Been there many, many moons ago but this time going with my family+kids so the experience will be very different and fun!! I’ve told them Daddy is taking them back to nature to appreciate the laid-back life, the rugged volcanos, the green padi fields…

My friend advise that we bring lots of US$ as the greenback seems to be more useful there. I’m not sure what currency and amount should I bring?. Can anyone help?

Yup, I choose fullboard becos of the convenience of meals and transport especially when travelling with young children. And tks for the tip on the mosquitoe repellant as I also expect alot of mozzies there.


How many days did you spent there? Also good that you are the adventurer sort and trying many types of hotels as it makes the holidays really fun. Will try this when the kids are older.

will be going Bali with my hubby and 2 kids(age 4 and 2). Any one can advise on Air Asia flights? It is about $900 cheaper than SQ. But abit worried about the plane, safety…etc Can we bring our own snacks on board for the kids? Are the seats actually narrower?(can’t imagine! full fare cattle class already narrow enough) Cleanliness? My kids have been to Shanghai, Melbourne and Perth (SQ and Emirates). They love flying so would like to keep it that way. Would appreciate any first hand infor or advise.
