Wondering if i need to get my boy to wear a singlet beneath the uniform.

Anyone ordering from pacificbookstore?
Are the socks compulsory?
i can’t seem to uncheck that item from my list!
i can only do it at the cart, but just in case its compulsory …
better check with other parents first!

The classrooms are without aircon, and your kids will need to prepare to climb alot of stairs, so plan what is necessary for your kids.
As for the socks, we have check previously with the bookshop, and were told not necessary. I have also noticed that the HPPS name was very light on the socks, so it is almost a white sock. So we bought white socks from elsewhere.

The temporary school is at the former RJC Mount Sinai Road campus. Not too far from the current school.

Don’t know leh, my DS will have left the school by then. But the school didn’t annouce on switching to single session, and probably not.

Yap. I doubt it is a single session... the whole idea of renovating is to prepare for single session. I intend to transfer DS2 over next year for P3 and he can enjoy morning session.

Is your kid in P5 GEP class? Would like to check with you if you see a need to get P5 textbook. I think their focus in P5 is more of projects... right?

I felt it is a waste as I bought the P4 textbooks for DS1 and now, after close to 1 yr, a thick layer of dust settle down... I don't even remember seeing him searching for textbook or anything.

Yes, DS is in P5 GEP. Bought the Maths text book when he was in P4, blur blur of course, and DS insist he cannot study without textbooks. Afterwhich same as you, no use for the text book. P5 we didn't buy the Maths text book. But still buy the activity books, as the teacher still got them to do some work from these activity book. Science textbook still have to buy, occasionally use for reference. DS revise mainly from his notes.
As for focus, there is still alot of topical work in the main subjects, and SS is mainly on Singapore history. DS did his IRS in FPS. Spend alot of time researching on internet and books for this assignment. And there will be a lot of Maths/Science Olympiad that they will be asked to participate. Quite a busy year, but by P5, they should be used to the pace.

Hey, thanks for sharing. Hmmm… so I still must get textbooks, activity books etc… can’t skip.


BTW, I just read the newsletter and they going to charge for CCA i.e. co-payment in 2012… to begin with, the CCA are pretty limited in choice… and I’m wondering how they managed the expense… :!:
