comfy, i don't think it is a very difficult decision where to send your dd to..comfy:
I have not decided yet, anyone any suggestion which gep sch to send my dd to?
If you ask me, stay in PH!!!
You will sure miss us!
4 schools within this area, NYPS, NHPS, RGPS and HPPS. probably yr dd will have to consider the school culture, CCA programmes and others.. and whether yr dd will be continuing her HCL... i believe distance is not a problem for you at all....this is much easier as compare to P1 registration... -

This time, noone from Fa3. Mine and her gang are happy, that they can still continue to see one another every schooling day. Girls stuffs, not sure if the men here can understand.we have 14 from CH, maybe another fews from FA, GR, HO & others..
so PHPPS will lose about 20+, almost 1 GEP class...i think most GEP schools have 2 GEP classes per level and about 25 students per class.
the principal would definitely feel sad... losing so many gifted kids to other schools and who know, maybe one of them will be the future top PSLE scholar.... -

well, no difference for boys and girls la... they knew each other for 2 to 3 years and you want them to change to a new environment...i wouldn't say most of them...i would say all of them will not like it....

So NYPS got chance liao :lol:markfch:
Btw, I read that NYPS GEP classes are super hot so not all who applies can get in. Another round of balloting in store? Keke.
My friend (a teacher) told me, priority is given to those who stay nearer and from a SAP school.
Seriously, if you are more \"conservative\" in values, then NYPS might should better becasue it is a Chinese School. However, if you are more Westernise .. then RGPS might be more suitable.
The other factor to consider is whether you would prefer a all girl school after your dd has been in a Co-ed scho for 3 yrs. Having boys around can be more fun sometimes. Just some thoughts. -

Congrats comfy...what to paisay... u should feel proud of yr dd....comfy:
First of all, I would like to thanks Trapwithin, Jennifer,Perwinklejoy, Markfch, Ijj and E3 for your heartfelt :congrats: . I appreciate that. Actually excited and also quite paisay to announcement it here. That why only mentioned it in the GEP thread.
I can't participate in the science and math qns as my dd has taken them to school else I will definitely have alot to say. Like Jennifer has said, must not treat PH papers too serious else can really :x . I, too, am going to put my faith on the PSLE papers as the qns must clear and with a purpose else lot of parents would complain.(tons of them will appear in the forum).
I have not decided yet, anyone any suggestion which gep sch to send my dd to? Pl, yes my dd is in CH (I thinik someone ask) and 14 in CH got in.
would you like to share with us how u and yr dd did in preparation of GEP exam? you and yr dd are our role models now...haha....

Now, dd has experienced lifestyle and gain much affection from certain teachers and friends, it rather difficult for her and me to choose. DH leaves it to her and me. Today, she says that 50% of her thinking is staying put in PH. Now really a big big headache to choose as you have stated 4 schools. If it is your child, which would you choose? :?:
I worry that NYPS might be too tough, RGS - never try a all girl school, NHPS - has bad feedback and Henry Park - hear have to stay back for quite a no. of days/wk. -
CONFIRMED. All P1 Classes will be moving to P2 according to the P1 classes. No Streaming.

All GEP has the same syllabus .. so school is more of your preference in the culture and suitabllility of your dd personality. -

This is good news. When dd is in P1 going to P2, there are mcuh stress and tension among parents. So I actually prefer my dd to stay in the same class for P2 and really get to know their classmates. She enjoys helping the weaker stds.

Personally, I like RGPS's culture but might not be able to get in as it is not a SAP school (lower priority).comfy:
