My gal is registering next year (born in 2005) and my PV requests were all rejected.

I'm at my wits end and truly appreciate any advice and help!

the nearest school in my vicinity is at least 1.8KM (Radin Mas) and my old school is in Yishun!

1) Does anyone know if the 18 months criteria stand for all methodist's church?

2) If i have a letter of recommendation from a Pastor who is not from a Methodist Church, do you know if it has any bearings?

3) If i have a letter of recommendation from a nun, do you know if it has any bearings for my gal to enrol into any of the CHIJ?

4) To be an active member for RC, is there a minimum no. of years in service? Is it too late if i join them now?

5) If i rent an apartment that is <1km> from MGS, how high would the chances be?

1. U probably need to qualify as a member of a methodist church to receive a letter from the pastor. The church has to be on the recognised list of methodist churches.
2. See s/n 1.
3. Don't think so.
4. Too late for RC work and letter of recommendation.
5. Rent 1km from MGS still can...but that would be really expensive and very hard to find short term rental - easily $36k a year for the smallest apartment AND you still have to ballot at phase 2C.

4) You need to serve at least 1 year before you are qualified for Phase 2B

5) I heard one have to stay there for at least 2 months before one is qualified even for Phase 2C

Not only 2B but 2B less than 1 km also had to ballot. First time in history.

Anyone can advise me abt increasing my chances of P1 registration?

First question.. I stay 1.3km fr Tao Nan, so will be aiming for TNS. If I become member of SHHK, is it enough to qualify into phase 2B for Tao Nan? Still need to ballot right?

Second question.. if I also become PV, will it increase my chances of Phase 2B for TNS? (considering I do not stay less than 1km fr TN).

Third question.. is getting and being successful in phase 2B a good chance for me since I stay 1-2km away fr TNS? And what else can/should I do to increase the chances?

Any mummies with the knowledge can advise me? tks!! :lol:

Depends. When is your child due for registration? For TNS, I believe you need to be a member of SHHK for 3-4 years before they will recommend you for P2B.

Based on this year's history, you may not even get the chance to ballot. Balloting was for those staying within 1 km. It is anticipated that future scenario will be similar to this year's.

If you are a member of SHHK and are recommended for P2B registration, being a PV doesn't increase your chance.

Like what I mentioned above, based on this year's history, you may not even have the chance to participate in the balloting.

You should move within 1 km of the school to get a chance at balloting.
