Is the journey up to Genting dangerous and the winding roads make you giddy? What is the best and fastest mode of transport up to Genting?

I think I will feel giddy if in car. Coach is okay. Fastest mode is skyway.

Is the skyway safe? If I come from KL, how long would it take coach from KL Central to the skyway station and from there how long to go up to genting and the station is near where? What about our luggauge? Is there any coach that goes direct from KL to Genting (Up to the hotel)? Sorry, have not been there before so lots of queries. Appreciate all assistance. TIA

Surf genting website and click on getting there / transportation.

          http://www.rwgenting.com/en/getting_there/index.htm

There are buses from airport as well as KL Central to take you to the cable car station or up to Genting.

For cable car, you can check in your luggage there. Time taken to reach Genting by cable car is about 10 mins.

Hi Caroline3sfg, Buses travel direct to Genting hotels or stop at cable car station only? If I take bus, do I need to change another bus at the cable car station? And if so, how long more it takes to reach the top of Genting? By bus from Kl to the cable car station roughly how long?

Yes definitely would drive up as if take coach it going to cost like around $100/head for a return trip.
If slow drive where maybe it take around 5-6 hours. We are all family with kids so not going to drive too fast like 150Km/hour. We are putting up First World Hotel.

                  Simple timetable is as follow:

26 Dec – 0800- Depart from Singapore to Genting (Woodlands or Tuas Checkpoint)
Expected reach Genting maybe around 1300 or 1400 depend on the speed of our travel.
                  \t Enjoy on Genting

                  27 Dec - R&R on Genting.

28 Dec – Take breakfast & we shall set off from Genting to Singapore.

Best we can have some walkie talkie so that can communicate during the journey. Using HP would be very expensive & maybe lack of coverage.

You can choose to take bus to cable car station or choose to go straight to Genting. Those who take cable car is to avoid the winding road. I don't know how long from KL to cable car station. I usually take coach from SG straight up to Genting.
