Anyone has any idea how they choose which girl to go which class?

Heard my fren says this is how our DDs are allocated to the respective classes:

Based on 2nd language followed by how the names appear in birth certificate

Class allocation is random in P1.
aiyo, that means my DD v suay lor.... Hm...or mummy v suay cos got to spend more time teaching her how to spell \"Perseverance\" 😉
Tinkerbelle:
Once the pupils are allocated to their respective classes, their names will then be arranged in alphabetical order. As a result, all pupils will have a register number that follows the pupil throughout the year. The pupils will be required to write their register numbers after their names on all worksheets. For example, Chan Mei Li (7) or Lily Tan (15).

Mummies, do take note of your child's register number when you attend orientation (during the form-filling session in the classroom). It'll be stated on the class list pasted on the classroom door. All parents have to sit at their children's tables, according to their register numbers.
:goodpost:

Sorry for asking but do we need to get such school bags for our girls?? It's like a bit steep in prices... I don't know but I rem my school bags used to cost less than $20 in my time. Are these bags really worth the price? Please enlighten me thanks

Hi cantbearit2,

I am slowly getting over this Perseverance thingy… the kids need to spell the word according to the staff i met yesterday when I was in school submitting the applicaton for car labels. In fact, for a moment I cannot spell the word myself off hand… but then I guess we’ll get use to it soon.

Hi Callie Tan,
No, it's not necessary to buy expensive bags for our gals. It's strictly a personal choice. Ya, the prices for SPI bags are a bit steep but considering the ergonormic features and their durability, it's worth it. DD1 used her SPI bag for 3 years before trading in for a new one. Even then, she could have continued using the bag but she wanted a new design as she found her older bag too childish.
Nowadays, our kids' bags can be heavy so hopefully, with the ergonomic features, it can somewhat offer some protection to DDs' spine. Just my 2cents worth.
