Does your child care about you?

Ever since DH taught our 4 yo boy how to dial his mobile, he has been calling his dad almost everyday with the slightest update. Last Sat while the kids were at my in-law's place, he called his dad on his mobile again and when i took over the phone, he said \"I want to tell you something mummy....I love you mummy.\" Enough to put a grin on my face the whole weekend.
My P1 gal will still ask for a kiss at the entrace of her school everyday when i send her there. I know this will stop eventually...so enjoying all these while i can :lol: -
DS is a very verbal boy. I guess its from us parents, cos when he is quietly sitting in a corner or he is not singing/dancing/reading aloud, we would always asked if he is ok. He does the same when we says 'ouch', coughs, sneeze or just being quiet. 2 weeks ago, when I was running high fevers and had to lie down for a whole day, he came with his water bottle for me and he read a book for me in bed. :love:
Recently he is really showing his compassionate side, cos when we brought him to the park and he saw someone fishing and was pulling a fish out of the water, he went screaming \"fish in the water\" what he meant is that fish should be in the water, not out of it. Even when we are watching Animal Planet and he sees lions or the predators hunting, he will scream and 'scolds' them.
But his fav animals are lions, sharks, tiger, crocodiles and dinosaurs. We can't figure that one out :? -

Occasionally, received calls from DS1 (calling from school) ither than reporting to me how he spent his pocket money, he end his call with \"i miss/love u, mama\" :hugs: When i am sick, both DS1 & DS2 will come to my bed \"R u ok?Mummy,Feeling better?\" DS2 will occasionally asks \"Mummy u love me or not?\" When i assured him, he reassures me he does the same and :hugs: on me..... -
Me, late one night:\"I better sleep, if not monster catch me how?\"
DD: *PAUSE* \"Then I ask monster catch me also lor.\"
Me (sleepy):\"Why?\"
DD:\"Because I so love you mah. Ask monster catch me also then I can stay with you.\"
Coming from a then-4 year old monster fearing child, it was the greatest love of all....
Then recently, I was sick and joking said I am dying; DD who is 5 and not so monster fearing said \"If you die, I will take out all my clothes and blow air con.\"
Me:\" :? \"
DD:\"So I cold die lor. Then stay with you die together.\" -

Wow. I'm way more envious of you and your child than of parents having kids in GEP. Keep that love growing! -

Yes, I am blessed to have a child like her. :love: She is very empathatic and I like to continue to encourage that in her.
