I think all the 4 will take part in the prize presentation. Otherwise won't be fair for the 3 kidsFull marks for English :!:
From what you have describe definitely very competitive...stress :nailbite:
On the other hand, it is good..keeps your gal on her toes.. :rahrah:
Do you know if the 4 of them are chosen to take part in the Speech & Prize Presentation on Friday?
According to DD, these 2 kids who scored full marks for english are not even in the top 4........ Which makes me wonder, all these kids scored full marks (or close to) for all subjects? :slapshead:
My girl is not competitive at all..... she's happy to just get by, day by day. -

Indeed. Seems like so far, 1H is the most competitive.
I suppose the impact of scoring full marks in English SA2 is not as great as scoring full marks in Maths. English SA2 only accounts for 50 marks. You still need to add the marks for Composition, Oral and Listening Comprehension. After adding all these, you need to bring everything down to 70%. For Maths, if you score full marks (100), you get the full 70%. -
Dear All,
When you get to know your child’s class for next year, can you please share with us here, so that I can update the first post of this thread?
Thanks. -

Maybe the school had identified a few top 3 or 4 in each class so that streaming maybe would be conducted at end of P2. As long the kid in the safe zone area at least we do not have to stress. -

Well, according to blue-march, one girl in her daughter's class will not be in 2G. Hence, it is still better to receive confirmation from parents here.Thought there is already no streaming since 1G is heading to 2G the whole lot?

I agree as long as child is in safe zone, we don’t have to be too worried. Too competitive, parents get stress too unless the kid is self-motivating. As long as not borderline then not so worrying.

My dd is happy to have her group of close friends moving up to P2 together. I think at this point, we as parents just want our children to stay cheerful and enjoy school life
