I always use Asiatravel.com to book my hotel in HK. Going again next week....sigh!

Do you know if branded stuff are cheaper in HK???? Eg. Gucci (besides the 7% gst)?

Also, I heard rolex/ watches are cheaper there too. Know of any reputable shops?

With the current exchange, it appears quite favorable.

We are looking forward to our trip in November

you may want to google for the authorised agent in HK for lolax/kuci etc

it could be cheaper, and you are right about the HK$ - and I would add also due to weaker Euros thesedays but Swiss Francs may still be strong

          Hi all,

I am planning to make a trip this year end to experience the new year crossover celebration 🙂
And I will be fulfilling one of my childhood wish to catch a concert at the HK Coliseum for Andy Lau concert. Yeah
Any good recommendation on night market beside the famous temple st and ladies st?

              Hi parents:

              I’ve shorlisted below hotels:-

              1. Stanford hotel at Kowloon
              2. The Salisbury-YMCA
              3. Butterfly on Prat
              4. Metropark Kowloon/ Mongkok

We have total 7 Adults ( 4 are elderly) + 1 child, so would like to stay the hotel that very near to MTR, foods, shopping area.

Pls give some advise! Thanks thanks!

my personal preference is The Salisbury, walking distance to Tsimshatsui MTR station

Which stanford at Kowloon is it ? IF it is the Intercontinental, its price willbe about double that of The Salisbury, depending on which day

and if you spend a lot of time in Mongkok at ladies street / temple street then Metropark is ideal

aunties clothes probably can find around smaller boutiques along Nathan Road and Harbour City (Canton Road)

                      Hi,

Going to HK mid Dec. Read through the thread, don’t seem to have muc comments on shopping places. Looking for nice ladies and men’s wear with good value for money.

                      Any recommendation?

Since going in Dec, will there be only winter wear n no summer wear suitable for Singapore climate?

                      Please share your experience.

                      Thanx Thanx!!

                        Hihi..

I am intending to bring my 2 kids with me next year either Mar or Sep. But I am confused on the Hotel booking. My DD is 3yo and DS 1yo.

                        :?

May I know is 2 double beds enough for us?
Do I need to include my DS during the booking? Coz whenever I stated 2 adults and 2 children, not many hotels are available for me to choose.

Actually I want to book Metropark hotel Mongkok which is within my budget. So is there any recommendation on the hotel around $130 budget/night?
