The Shangyin instructors are the same ones for the school's CO. It's compulsory for Y1 students to attend music lessons at Shangyin after which it's highly encouraged.:

What I meant is that, if the Y1 student is already competent and has his own instructor, how can they make it compulsory to attend music lessons at Shangyin? eg. the y1 student is already working on grade 9 erhu, for instance with an existing private teacher. Doesn't make sense to make this student go to Shangyin in addition to his own private lessons, apart from the school's sectionals.

In this case, i don't know what will be the arrangement.

DD has a schoolmate who was doing grade 5 with his own teacher. He's attending shangyin.
Woah - so he has TWO different lessons? Shangyin does the Shanghai conservatory exams while most other teachers use the Beijing Central Conservatory exams that are held at NAFA.

Hi all, i'd like to appeal to Dunman High. I got 255 + 2 for my PSLE & DHS's COP last year was 258. One mark difference only šŸ˜ž

Can anyone tell me how to appeal and when I can start appealing???

And, will Dunman High lower its COP this year? Coz the national top score this year as compared to last year has a really great difference, 8 marks lei!

Help? :?:

P/S: Can i appeal with leadership? Coz i'm a prefect in school & participated in the Head Prefect Election + organised many activities.

hi
u can only start appealing after the posting results are out.
anyway, yr t-score is not too far away from last yr COP.
check it out from DHS website to see whether they allow downloading of appeal forms, if not call the office for assistance.
as to the queston whether DHS will lower its COP this year, nobody knows,
it depends on the cohort size applying to DHS.
i would say just put in DHS as 1 st choice if u're really keen abt it
and as a 1 st choice, it shows yr keeness/sincerity when it comes to appealing.
of course yr leadership qualities is an added advantage.
