:welcome: Hi Jolenekoh and those whose little ones who are joining WDP in 2011,

Welcome to the WDP family :welcome:

All the details of what I am going to say will be touched on come
orientation day.. everything from the point your child report to school
until dismissal. He will be well taken care of.

Some of what is mention below may vary depends on changes by the school next year.

1.-Recess/ Teabreak for PM session is between 3-4.30pm,
30 mins for each level, next year P1/2/3 will be in the PM session.
Check the class time-table given when school reopens in 2011.
Advise not to give your child more than $2.
A small bowl of noodles/ rice range from 60cents to 90 cents.
      for P1 $1.20 is enough.
In case of emergency (money lost, forgot to bring),
he can borrow from form teacher.
**So teach him how to count in diff. combination of
      10-cent, 20cent, 50-cent, $1 coins.

2.-P1 Parents are NOT allowed in the school during recess.
Your child will be taken care by their buddy for at least 3 days.
In case your child missed his recess, his teacher will check
and allow them to eat something afterwards.

3.-If you did not receive it wtih your orientation notification
letter from school, then you shall find the textbook list in your
\"welcome\" folder on orientation day. It will be handed to you
when you send your child to his classroom on orientation day.

You can purchase the books on orientation day at the school or from Popular later.
Uniform can be purchased on that day too, but if you are
not in a hurry, a list of dates will be given for the days when you can
purchase the books and uniform from the school (during the school holidays).

Exercise/Jotter books/ School Diary/ School SOCKS etc.. that bears the school crest/ logo
must be bought from school bookshop. Optional items are not compulsory
and need not buy if you do not wish to.

      con't.. πŸ˜“ πŸ˜“

        ... πŸ˜“ πŸ˜“

4.-Train your child to make public phone call using 10cents and spare
them one or two 10cents in case they need to call you for comfort from
        school.
They are not allowed to call from general office unless they are sick or have valid reasons.
Help him memorise your mobile number.
        Do it this Dec holidays.

**Tell him not to buy anything from the school bookshop,
otherwise he may bring home unecessary things, everyday!

5.- Lastly, remember to check with his form teacher on orientation day what to bring on the first days of school.
        Usually only need to bring
what is listed in the \"What to bring on the first days\" list given on
        orientation day.

Do not worry too much, your son will enjoy his first days in WDP!
        :celebrate: AIO.
