I agree. There is no such thing as Oral or Paper 1 (for chinese and english) during our times.

During my times there were oral both EL1 & CL2 wor.....

We had what they have in terms of the schedules of CA, SA but the contents & syllabus have folded dont know how many times more difficult.

Chief, yes agree their mathematics especially nowadays come with heuristic questions aka critical thinking questions and i hv to sit with my p2 boy to go thru with him.

Dun say its difficult to get 90 over hor... some kids have almost perfect scores except english/chinese. Wonder kids!!

Anyway, my kid came back with a Chinese multiple choice paper where he circled the answer correctly on the question paper but MARKED INCORRECTLY on the coded answer script :stupid: . Not just one, but a couple of PAGES. Sigh... the things kids do to shorten the lives of their parents

Any redemption action by the school especially if this is the first year they are using this OAS paper? If it is consistent that the answers are all off by 1 question, then I believe it is worthwhile checking with the school.

I know of a school that allows the 'special needs' children to complete the exam paper regardless of time. But that is P1. After the exams, for those who did not complete the questions, they were allowed to complete it after the recess break. I thought that was so charming of the school to promote learning more than grading under pressure.
