          Hi there,

I recently just started to send my girl to Berries @ Bukit Batok and apparently she likes the way they teach. She's P2 going P3.. They also have a little corner - with lots of Chinese books and a tv room for story telling and video. I currently waitlisted for my son - also K2 next year.

I had went through a few language centre such as Yuquan, Xueni, Eduplus, Berries, Tien Hsia, Han Lang, Molin & Jiang Education.

Seem like all about the same but maybe in terms of standard Jiang & Molin could be higher. Ultimately it still depend on how good the teacher is teaching your child.
I agree.... The important key is the teacher πŸ˜„

My DS and DD just resided to Spore 11 months ago and they are in P4 and P2. Chinese for them is almost a 'new thing'. Luckily, through this forum I found a very dedicated tutor who really help them a lot. And they passed their chinese now. Still hoping to see more improvement especially for DS, 1,5 year to go before PSLE πŸ™‚

                Dear parents,

Which is better? Tien Hsia @ JP or Berries @ West Coast?
Any comment on this two centre?
Really don’t know which to choose for my DD1 next year K2.

So far seem ok with Yuquan Lang Centre. I’m paying about $320/term (Excludes GST) which have 12 lessons & each duration about 2 hours. Most of the RC at Yuquan they have 2 group together, Eg P1 & P2. That is why the fee is so much difference where you are paying $65/mth.
The RC that my son went for trial only have 1 level for a class

                    alphonsus:

Now I began to wonder why the course fee is difference at their school vs RC? :? My boy lurves his current teacher @YQ, so I am having a hard time convincing him to switch to Berris. Switching to Berris is more for me as it is more convenient to me and I really like their teaching material and course coverage.
His P1 higher chinese result is good(to me  ). I am unsure whether this is result of YQ or his school chinese teacher.
I am very envious of u that your son loves his studies @ YQ. I hv a hard time convincing my son to attend Chinese enrichment class. Currently I buy P1 assessment book (very easy one) for him to do at home since he refused to attend Chinese enrichment class. I wld let my son stay with the same teacher if he loves his teacher. IMHO, if a child likes the teacher, he will do whatever the teacher asked him to do or do things to please the teacher. Thus leads to improvement of results
