Parents-Teachers-Meet (PTM) tommorrow. Twice a year - after SA1 & SA2. Apparently not all schools have PTM twice a year as I understand from my frens so I really appreciate that.
Err.... Schools generally have PTM twice, I think. Not every school holds it after the exams, though. -
That's what I thought too initially until i heard otherwise ... so better dont take for granted. In any case, modern parents usually march to teachers with or without PTMs

n qms, why are u lurking in this thread eh? Spy Spy  -

:hi5:
That's right! Parents nowadays go to the teachers whenever they like. Don't have to wait till PTMs.radiantmum:

BTW, how is Endeavour? -
My kid is happy - so am I then

Parents are updated constantly via principal’s letters. My kid’s class has star/reward system to earn and perform, will have their compo read out to class if did well etc. He’s motivated and happy learning - that’s all I ask for.
Endeavour has Higher Chinese - - standard-wise comparable to other top schools’ HCL papers. English paper standard ok. Maths - perhaps can set to be more difficult but then again all my own personal views only.
& oh, hopefully they can have more variety of CCAs soon. -

Glad that your kid is happy. That's what we parents hope for - for them to be happy in school - right? -
Hi parents of EPS.
My son will be attending P1 next yr and I am in the process of ordering his sch text books online and came across art apron. Is it compulsory to buy?
Cos I have a thomas & friend art apron at home, not sure if it’s appropriate to use cartoon character apron in school. hahaha
And also what are the items that are not necessary to buy from the booklist.
Would appreciate any kind reply.
Thank you. -
You may buy them from school’s Pacific Bookstores or from Popular.
I bought their apron last year but I guess any apron will do (it’s for their arts class).
I bought all textbooks & workbooks of course (except Malay which mine doesn’t need). Did not get their drawing blocks, whiteboard set, covers etc. This year I plan to recycle his school files so I am going to skip buying those as well. -

Now I AM grouchy. I told my kid that first 3 in class will have prizes. My mistake - should have checked and not assumed! Now he's so sad that he will not be able to get a prize. Endeavour only awards to the 1st in class. So much for encouragement, duh !radiantmum:

Thanks radiantmum for your reply!
May I also ask a few more qns about the sch uniform. I was wondering if 3 sets of sch uniform and 3 sets of PE attire will be enough.
How many PE lessons are there for p1 and are they allowed to wear PE attire the whole day on PE days?
Also, is it compulsory to buy the school black socks with school name on it.?
Thank you so much again ! -
Mine survive comfortably with 3 sets of school uniform and 2 sets of PE attire . Minimum 2 sets of PE attires as they are required to wear them on PE day and Fitness Friday day. PE lesson once every week and yes, the students are required to wear PE attire throughout on PE day (which varies from class) & every Friday.
For socks, I bought mine with school name on it 'cos I am too lazy to find alternative outside. Honestly easier for find white socks then black socks for kids. Don't know of any parents that were being called up 'cos their socks did not have the school name though - YET
However I would advise you to make sure that the shoes are canvas (with holes) before buying. I learnt my mistake only when mine came home smelling worse than salted fish. Thrown the old pair away after 1st week of use.
