      Mathmaniac:
How to become a 'super' daddy??

      Hi,
\tI don't think I am the most qualified 'super' daddy here. I am still learning but would just to share my thought.

To be qualified as 'super' daddy,
\tyou will need to know some basic skills like feed baby, change diapers, bath them, coax them to sleep...

\tYou will need to nurture and develop them to have good characteristics, teach them on their learning and schoolwork,
\tguide them by showing good example and act as their role model,
\tdiscipline them when they are cranky and naughty,
      \tprotect them,
\tferry them to school, enrichment classes and to other places.

\tYou will need to share with them when they are happy, :celebrate:
\tcheer them up when they are sad or moody..
\tencourage them when they need a pat on their back..
      \tunderstand them,
      \ttrust them..
      \t\t
      \tIt is not easy..
\tYou will get a lot of nonsense, angers, criticisms and even hatreds from them.. πŸ¦†
\tThe kids might even take you for granted..
\tYou might feel like you are a maid to them.. :?:
\tYou might wonder 'Is it that you owe them in your previous life'

      \tHence,
\tYou will need to have a lot of LOVE, patience and care..
\tYou will need to have creativities and ideas.. and (money)..
\tYou will need to sacrifice a lot of things, like no favourite children-unfriendly tv shows when your kids are young,
\ttake the food that your kids like and not what you like...

\tMost importantly, you will need to play with them, love them, cherish them and care for them..

and come to KSP for advices and enlightenment.. πŸ™‚

\tWhen they get older and become adult, you might or might not get anything in return monetary,
but at least you can feel proud of what you have done for them, to be their 'super' daddy when they have needed you most...

        hey worryfather,

nice, long scary list of responsibilities... Really sounded like we are maid, slave, cum driver... I'm a father of 3... And yes, still learning... I doubt i will stop learning as each kid is unique in their own way, and we must adapt and guide accordingly. They are wonderful at time, and devil most of other time.

I joined because i'm blur of the primary sch education... Kanan call regularly from teachers for DS1 since P1... try my best not to fall into rat-race but Singapore education is unbearable... even if you try to ignore it, u still receive calls from school... πŸ˜› Come to realize school also got their own KPIs!

I'm grateful for all the info and parent sharing in this forum! Thanks god! πŸ™

            Hi blur-daddy,

Sorry to have scared you.. hahaa..
Well, I forgot to include the joy and happiness we will get when we are maid, slave cum driver.. πŸ™‚

Yeah.. I think we have been too focus on KPIs.. not too sure is it good or not, but certainly it will become pressurizing for kids and parents..

Why you always kanan call from teachers? I also quite blur.. that's why I joined when my daughter is about 1 year old. πŸ™‚
