      Partyof5:
I have just withdraw my son from their branch in Mountbatten Square

      Hihi,

Do you mind sharing the reason for withdrawal?
We just went to view the place recently and me and hb really like it alot. Now debating between this and another Little Skool House centre.

        hi Lhl686,

my son is very young and we didnt find the teachers matured or experienced enough. We liked the center in the beginning too, but i think beyond the surface, i didnt think they could handle so many kids in the group.

          Hi Partyof5,

How old is your child? my boy is 27mths old. Hb saw the educational levels of the teachers and they were at least Diploma certified. Still thought this will be a good gauge of the teachers’ standards… oops
But i do agree they all look very young…not sure if this means not enough experience.

            Hi Lhy686,

My hubby and I came to realise paper qualification is one thing, hands on experience is the other. Also if you don have the charisma or instinct to bond with kids, it's hard for the kids to engage you too..

So with this learning, this become my priority when i look for next school. I bring my son along so i can see how he reacts to the teachers 🙂

Where do you live? WHat other schools have you seen? Maybe we can exchange notes 🙂

              Hihi Partyof5,

I'm staying at Marine Crescent 😃

So far we've been to view the following schools:
              Chiltern House @ East Coast
              Lorna Whiston @ East Coast
              Cherie Hearts @ Mountbatten
              My First Skool @ Mountbatten
              Little Skool House @ Mountbatten
              Little Skool House @ Thomson
Little Skool House @ Fidelio Street
              Schoolhouse By the Bay

Sigh..Hb initially wanted Little Skool House @ mountbatten already...now gotto check with him again to confirm.

Actually Lorna Whiston is my favourite out of all...but the school fees' really ex and hb doesn't think our little toddler needs to go to such an expensive school 😞

                        Hi lhy686,

My child is 2.5 yrs old now so he will be enrolled in N1 next year.

My hubby and I both lilked the place. We liked the food menu as they use natural food and not processed food. Moreover, we are quite delighted to know that they baked their own pastry as well.

I was quite skeptical about the curriculum as I am not sure how beneficial & effective a literature based curriculum is. However, I do like that there are lots of hands on activity and a lot of the times they teach through playing.

I agree it’s not cheap but I have looked at the other choices around that neighbourhood and it seems to be a better choice.

Another school is opening at mountbatten square. So I’m gonna check it out too.
