Hey all!!!,we were super excited that day...I was a bit lost too and went auto pilot as well...super long queue for the car de-cal.I will be collecting my uniforms tomorrow. The ladies there are indeed very helpful, they will do alterations for my gal as well FOC!!!

While waiting for my car de-cal,my girl needed tp use the washroom, and a kind gentleman told us to use the one in the canteen.....I am sad to say that the toilet was sooooooooo horryfying!!!!worse than ANY public toilet i had EVER seen......good thing i had sanitizer and wipes with me..gal refused but she was already doing the\"pee dance\" and i wipe wipe spray spray and told her die die \"you pee here or in your panties!!!\"worse there was NO handsoap and there was a bucket filled with water which was already curdled cheese-like and brownish...ewwwww even thinking about it makes me wanna puke!!!!! I am realllllly disturbed and my gal keeps asking if alll the toilets are like this in her school and if she needs to bring wipes and sanitizer to school....
did anyone else used this gross toiket at the canteen? :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:
Oh dear, is it that bad??? Why didn't I think of checking out the toilets??? Shall we feedback to the school?

BTW, did anyone of u went to get the uniforms? It was long q lor. But the ladies at the shop were v helpful. 😄 My DD managed to fit the smallest size but wif some alterations at the sides. The jacket was cool man. 😉

We went to get the uniforms after the orientation as well. My DD got the smallest size with alterations at the sides too! Sigh, she was already teased even before the first day of school. Apparently, the girl sitting beside her in class asked how old she was. When she replied 6, that girl went, \"you r so short, you should be in K1\" Felt so bad for my girl. What a bad start.

Is united uniforms the only place to get MCS uniforms?? My girl got size 30 becos size 28 is just nice for her so think better to get a size bigger if not by mid of the year, it might be slightly too short for her. However, the shorts and jacket is out of stock, anywhere else to get them? Actually, is it necessary to get the jacket?

Btw, can I check what do you let your girls wear underneath the uniforms?? Just panties or we should let them wear shorts?

Oh, easy! We stay at St 13. Let's meet up in the Bishan Library! I am free & easy as I just become stay-at-home mum this Oct. Let me know your free day. Invitation is opened to other classes' mothers too.

well, it is a bit disorganized on 20 Nov.The school should inform us in the letters sent out that our girls wil be sent to the respective classes IMMEDIATELY before the briefing. My girl was in a bit of shock when a prefect came and asked to take her away the vey moment we stepped into the foyer. I was not even sure where, what and how myself, looking for directions and signs…

Am disappointed that we didn’t get to see the principle and have more contact time with the teachers… yes, the teachers were all very cold and they didn’t give clear instructions what we would be doing after the filling up of forms so my hubby and I hung around in the classroom until we saw parents leaving then we realized we had to go to the hall again to pick up our girl…

However, I must say that I am quite impress with the prefects and usherers who were very nice and polite and articulative. The Vice principle delivered her messages quite well…
Actually, is it necessary to get the jacket?
Hmmm....don't think I will be buying the jacket as our girls are in the afternoon session and the classrooms are not airconditioned and hence don't think its necessary to put on the jackets.... 😄 Not sure if you think the same way too 😉

                  Hi LLXO4

Great! But we will be away from this weekend and back on the 2nd week of Dec. Maybe we can organise something in Mid-Dec 😉
Or you may want to go ahead and meet up with the other mothers and their girls first 😄

Agree. Very impressed with the 2 little hosts!

Nope, not going to get the jackets...classrooms are non-aircon. Not necessary.

                      cantbearit2,

I am wondering if we have to prepare 2 bags for DD. One for GSSC & one sch bag.

Hw to make sure the pinafore won’t turn "kiam chye" by the time she gets to sch?

I saw the lockers… opened them but got funny smell in them… am not complaining as long as my girl doesn’t need to bring her textbooks to n fom every day.

The info booklet listed the books t hand in on the 1st day of school so pls refer to page 8 of the MCS booklet.

How much is the student care centre may I know?
