      Hi all,

Yes, must say that Sat's event was a bit messy.

      DD is in 1 Compassion

Till today, I am not sure if the 3 ladies who assisted us with the forms are DD's trs... They seemed to be very cold. At one point, one parent asked if they are the admin staff, one replied \"we are trs\" but no further elaboration or rather introduction of their actual roles.

      ??
      Hi chergaby,

My gal is also in 1 Compassion and she mentioned that her form teacher is Mrs Sarah Tan, one of the teachers who helped us with the forms. What's your gal's S/N? My gal is No.27.

The bus driver who ply the route around my area happens to b the boss! He was so uncooperative. Called him twice n both times he was unpleasant. Told him where we stay n he says he will only pick up from main road!! Main road, my gal might as well take the public bus. Told him we only want one way but willing to pay for both ways, he came up with so many excuses that he can't do 1 way. Gosh, he was so difficult, we decided to abandon the school bus plan. Big sigh!!

Same for me, they expect us to walk 100m down to opposite bishan interchange as pick up point. I asked wat if rains? She said just wait inside shelter till bus come... Zzzzzzzzzzz... Are we expecting too much for them to drive near our carpark entrance?
Btw, the lady knew my unit number when I told her my blk. She claimed that the school admin gave them the address of all students...

          Hi LLXO4

Great! But we will be away from this weekend and back on the 2nd week of Dec. Maybe we can organise something in Mid-Dec πŸ˜‰
Or you may want to go ahead and meet up with the other mothers and their girls

Hi, I am going away for 2 weeks after 18 dec. Will u be available any dates before that? If not, we can meet up on 1st day of school. I will try to arrange a date to fit everyone... The more the merrier..

Hi lvkt, it was indeed a torture talking to the bus driver. Unfortunately, he's the only driver who ply our area! We tried calling 2 other drivers who may drive near our area, but they referred us back to Mr Neo. They do not overlap bus routes. Which part of balestier do u stay? Nearer whampoa or nearer Thomson or in the middle?

            lvkt:
            Dear Preciousmoments,
i just wanted to ask you about the school bus, he was indeed very uncooperative and refused to take DD to study care where is just next to the school, DH was so frustrated talking to bus driver, we also don't know how now?

            Dear parents,
do you know any other bus route will go balestier road? please let me know, actually i was told by the operation manager from school that the principle told all school bus drivers not to come to disturb parents, sigh.. the principle wasn't there, how would she know we're being disturbed? it's indeed a big trouble if the school bus driver not to come, i'm quite disappointed with this principle, orientation is a big day to us, what kind of reason can she excuse herself not coming???

The school has no authority to release such P&C info to any vendors without parent's permission! Especially since the bus vendor is not a staff of the school!

You should feedback to the school and CC a copy to MOE. This is totally unacceptable!

Is united uniforms the only place to get MCS uniforms?? My girl got size 30 becos size 28 is just nice for her so think better to get a size bigger if not by mid of the year, it might be slightly too short for her. However, the shorts and jacket is out of stock, anywhere else to get them? Actually, is it necessary to get the jacket?

Btw, can I check what do you let your girls wear underneath the uniforms?? Just panties or we should let them wear shorts?
My DD's shorts is also out of stock too. But they took down our details and told us that they will inform us when the stock arrives.

Funny that u mention, the issue of panties or shorts nv cross my mind. All along, I have been in a co-ed sch so it was shorts all the way. MCS being a girl sch, mayb panty is gd enough?

well, it is a bit disorganized on 20 Nov.The school should inform us in the letters sent out that our girls wil be sent to the respective classes IMMEDIATELY before the briefing. My girl was in a bit of shock when a prefect came and asked to take her away the vey moment we stepped into the foyer. I was not even sure where, what and how myself, looking for directions and signs....

Am disappointed that we didn't get to see the principle and have more contact time with the teachers... yes, the teachers were all very cold and they didn't give clear instructions what we would be doing after the filling up of forms so my hubby and I hung around in the classroom until we saw parents leaving then we realized we had to go to the hall again to pick up our girl...

However, I must say that I am quite impress with the prefects and usherers who were very nice and polite and articulative. The Vice principle delivered her messages quite well...
                      Same sentiments! πŸ˜‰

                        cantbearit2,

I am wondering if we have to prepare 2 bags for DD. One for GSSC & one sch bag.

Hw to make sure the pinafore won't turn \"kiam chye\" by the time she gets to sch?
aiyo, i was also thinkg abt this. Not sure if the GSSC allows us to only bring back the \"dirty laundry\" on the next day. Otherwise, she needs to bring so many thgs to MCS???

Not sure if we shld hang up the pinafore when we bring it to GSSC too, otherwise it may really turn \"kiam chye\". πŸ˜‰

I think I will call them to find out.
