The MCS booklet that was given to us has the 1st page for bus vendors missing!!! I was looking for my bishan st 22 route but cannot find!! Aiyoyo... why like that??!!

Do you need the first page or just the number for Bishan area?
I am out now, will go home and look it up for you later if you need.

Thanks acbj, i think it's ok, I have the number from the mail we received 1-2 weeks ago, it's at home. However, it seems like most bus vendors said to call them around christmas so there should be o hurry. But hor, why wait till then?? Isn't it better to start consolidating the students now and organize the routes rather than wait til 1 week before the school starts leh?? Puzzles me... :?

yes, i know how you feel, DH is a very patient person but he got angry :x after talking to the bus driver so i can tell how bad the bus driver was.

i'm staying in the middle, and you? my worst case scenario will be myself to pick up DD but then i'll need to take 2 different bus routes to get there, man..

Hi lvkt, it was indeed a torture talking to the bus driver. Unfortunately, he's the only driver who ply our area! We tried calling 2 other drivers who may drive near our area, but they referred us back to Mr Neo. They do not overlap bus routes. Which part of balestier do u stay? Nearer whampoa or nearer Thomson or in the middle?

do you know any other bus route will go balestier road? please let me know, actually i was told by the operation manager from school that the principle told all school bus drivers not to come to disturb parents, sigh.. the principle wasn't there, how would she know we're being disturbed? it's indeed a big trouble if the school bus driver not to come, i'm quite disappointed with this principle, orientation is a big day to us, what kind of reason can she excuse herself not coming???

Ok, i called the school to ask about this. I was referred to admin manager and then to operation manager. They are not sure who gave the addresses to the bus operators but assured me that the bus operators have been with them for last 20 years, no issues so far..? With that, i asked to speak to Principle who is not available till 1 Dec, the Vice Principle is taking exam today, so not available too, I asked for the next covering officer and they said they need to find out.From 2pm, nobody call me back.. its so messy messy...

It's of no help to them if the sch don't have any feedback or know how we parents felt.
Hopefully the bus vendors also feedback to them.
As for writing down the address to give to the bus vendors, I am not sure if I am the only one who didn't know there is such a form....

aiyo, i was also thinkg abt this. Not sure if the GSSC allows us to only bring back the \"dirty laundry\" on the next day. Otherwise, she needs to bring so many thgs to MCS???

Not sure if we shld hang up the pinafore when we bring it to GSSC too, otherwise it may really turn \"kiam chye\".

If the Sch doesn't want the bus vendor to be there, it would be better to give us each a form to fill out so as to facilitate bus transport arrangement.
The bus vendors can then sort it out among themselves.
Imagine parents calling 2-3 of them to find out the route and then call again to arrange pick up location. Their phone minutes quota is bound to sky rocket this month. Mayb that's why some of them not picking up.
Wait for their Dec Quota???

Funny that u mention, the issue of panties or shorts nv cross my mind. All along, I have been in a co-ed sch so it was shorts all the way. MCS being a girl sch, mayb panty is gd enough? :lol:

Actually this is what one of the many other stuffs that bothers me... that the girls may not be conscious about these etiquettes because they are in girls' school... I had a culture shock when I was posted to TKGS for my 1st 3 months after \"O\" levels, the girls simply changed in classrooms without closing windows and lifted up the skirts to adjust their shorts/blousesas as and when they walked along school corridors!!!

So, I am thinking whether I should cultivate this habit of wearing shorts or not...[/quote]

It doesn't make sense to collect for Dec 2011 either...

I just called my bus owner, she asked me to call her again in Dec nearer to the date when sch re-opens. She's charging me $75/mth for to-and-fro trips.
