Good luck to you all who have to handle transport...i thought of getting my gal on the school bus too but,we decided not to seeing what a hassle it is to coordinate with the drivers,some of whom sounds REALLY HORRID from what i've read so far...I'm just dissapointed that the school not really helping out... even with so many of the parents from this forum calling and e-mailing....and whats up with giving out our addresses????really weird! :shock:

Also do any of you know if the MCS school bookshop sells PE shorts? I've got all my gals stuff already except for the shorts( that seems to be forever out of stock) and her excersice books only!

Parents with gals in 1RESPECT out there....is it my imagination or was the chinese teacher the only \"smiley\" one...the other two look so cold and didn't even return my smile....my gal super timid leh...hope the teacher won't put her off going to school.....

At an appropriate time, I'm thinking of asking my boss if I can start wk half an hour earlier so I can leave work half an hour earlier at 5.30pm to pick DD up myself. Then I won't need to \"beg\" the bus driver. Feels like we r under his mercy!!

I was quoted $120 for 2 way to Hougang and $110 if 1 way. I thot it was ex liao, $185 lagi ex lor..... :shock:

If the Sch doesn't want the bus vendor to be there, it would be better to give us each a form to fill out so as to facilitate bus transport arrangement.
The bus vendors can then sort it out among themselves.
Imagine parents calling 2-3 of them to find out the route and then call again to arrange pick up location. Their phone minutes quota is bound to sky rocket this month. Mayb that's why some of them not picking up.
Wait for their Dec Quota???

It could be true cos I also called the bus driver but he din pick up too. In the end, I sms my requirement and lucky for me the bus owner called me back and confirm my pl.

I signed my DD up for GSSC.

Will be there early on the first day of Sch.
I was told that GSSC will open the doors and gate at around 6.55 - 7am. Since we are planning to let DD take the Morning Sch bus, I was told that the bus may arrive before that timing......

Morning sch bus??? I was told if my DD were to take the morning sch bus, she has to be waiting at 5.45am for the bus. So we scrape off the idea. DH will send her to GSSC in the morn and she will only take the sch bus on the coming home trip.

Since young, I trained my DD to wear shorts beneath her dress/skirt - long or short.
If her shorts is sticking out, that means the dress/skirt is too short. She can't buy it.

Yes I think I will get my daughter to wear shorts too... as for the singlets, I will monitor...
