Yes. For English like literature. Thot it is quite good they do that. P3 will be James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl too.

Can i check if the different groups like dolphin, shark, etc indicate any ranking of which is best? Is any particular group consistently the best amongst others? Just for my own understanding.

On the same topic of using Charlie and the Chocolate Factory during English lesson, would like to check if it’s necessary to buy the book from the TNS bookshop?

Cos if its used for literature … a lot of page and line referencing is usually done … and those with books from different publishers may have difficulty following the lesson.

I think as long as it's from publisher Puffer, should be all right.

For P1, i know it;s opening on 4 Jan. I suppose it;s same for all? Can any parent help to provide how much homework should I expect for P1? Because I am a working mother so can only assist my gal at night. Also she has some enrichment classes on weekdays so wondering if I should shift them to weekends so she has more time for homework. Can I have an indication like how many ques per subject for homework? Thanks much.

hi Starrenee, thanks then it's 04 Jan. For homework, I think it's really manageable for P1. At times, there's no home work at all but on occasions there will be a few pages per subject. Your child should be able to finish within an hour. English and Chinese spelling will begin after a few weeks of school and the spelling is getting progressively more difficult. Other then that, I think P1 is really a honeymoon year so let the kids enjoy and adapt to the new environment. My DD enjoyed her 1st year tremendously and I am sure yours will as well ! 😄
