For P1, i know it;s opening on 4 Jan. I suppose it;s same for all? Can any parent help to provide how much homework should I expect for P1? Because I am a working mother so can only assist my gal at night. Also she has some enrichment classes on weekdays so wondering if I should shift them to weekends so she has more time for homework. Can I have an indication like how many ques per subject for homework? Thanks much.

hi Starrenee, thanks then it's 04 Jan. For homework, I think it's really manageable for P1. At times, there's no home work at all but on occasions there will be a few pages per subject. Your child should be able to finish within an hour. English and Chinese spelling will begin after a few weeks of school and the spelling is getting progressively more difficult. Other then that, I think P1 is really a honeymoon year so let the kids enjoy and adapt to the new environment. My DD enjoyed her 1st year tremendously and I am sure yours will as well !

Thanks Lucky. I'm really stressing out as I am from non chinese speaking background and TNS is higher chinese somemore.
So alot of worrying on how to help her in her future homework for Chinese. -
Starrenee:
Actually you dont have to worry too much. The P1 and P2 textbooks between the CL chinese and HCL is just a few extra words to learn. If you are really uncomfortable, maybe you could send her to CL chinese enrichment centres that teaches ahead of the syllabus, so it's kind of a double revision for the child. Thanks Lucky. I'm really stressing out as I am from non chinese speaking background and TNS is higher chinese somemore.

In that case, potentially, the biggest challenge would be to prepare your child for the oral presentation and oral examination. Thanks Lucky. I'm really stressing out as I am from non chinese speaking background and TNS is higher chinese somemore.
