My daughter's T-score is 252 and she's looking at Cedar Girls' and NanChiau High School. Do you think Nan Chiau or Cedar is good for her? She's interested in Arts/Choir as a CCA and we are staying in Hougang. Thanks for your suggestions πŸ™‚

Hougang to Cedar is not very far. I would say go for Cedar with that score. :celebrate:

Hi Thanks for your advise, we planned to go for Cedar Open Hse this Saturday.

My son scored 256 for PSLE. He is looking forward to HCI or NJC. CoP last year is 257 and 258. Is it a good idea to try these schools? :? How much is the possibility that he will enter that school.

My son is from SJIJ and got 238 which is the cut off for SJI.

However, we are thinking of trying for Nan Hua (COP 242), or AHS (COP 240) or CCHS (COP 236) as his first choice. Shld we try??

                    :?:
I would say no. You're taking a big risk by not putting the affiliated secondary school as the 1st choice. If he apply for SJI as his 1st choice, he's guaranteed a place. If he try other school and don't get in, he'll lose the priority from the affiliation. I don't think it's worth taking the risk unless you really don't like SJI.

can i appeal for RGS? (she got NYGH offer already)

You can appeal for RGS! My friend initially DSA-ed to NYGH but she appealed to RGS in the end and got it.

Why must appeal? I thought you only need to accept the DSA offer after the release of the PSLE results? If you don't accept the DSA offer, you can apply for any school of your choice under this admission exercise. Or she already accepted the DSA offer?[/quote]She had accepted the offer before the PSLE results were out.
