IP refers to Integrated Program, it is a 6 years program
I would like to add that under the IP, you skip the GCE O-Levels exam and sit for the GCE A-Levels exam in Year 6. For more details, please refer to the MOE website at
Could someone explain what is IP? I went through the Admission Booklet/Sch Website and found IP can be Integrated Program or Instructional Program.vynx:

The only thing is that Nan Chiau does not offer IP if u dun mind. It does not even plan to like some other schools in 2013. But still I think that Nan Chiau is not a bad choice of schools.

Is your son going to HCI or RI ?
still undecided
what is your advice ? -
JonC:
Thanks. But do you mean switch to another school which currently offers IP? But when you say do well is there a marks average or min?Jojothehusky:
My neighbor has scored 247 including her higher chinese. St Nicks has IP program me in 2013 right? I heard that when we reach sec 2 than we would be able to chose if we want to get into IP during sec 3. How much chance will she stand to get into st nicks or cedar? Will the COP drop this year?
The new 7 IP Schools do not start with 2010 P6 Batch.
It start from 2011 P6 Batch for VS and 2012 P6 Batch for the other 6.
Sec 2 refers to the 2 batch of students who go to the non IP of the schools and when they do well in sec 2 have a chance to switch. -

Hi vk2010,
How are your son's results?
You must be very proud. So has he decided HCI or RI?
we are happy for him and very proud of each of his teachers who have given their best to bring out the best of each one in the class (lowest in class is 249)
RI or HCI - what is your advice ? -
When we appeal for Nan Hua with a aggregate of 236+3 what must we show??? Testimonials???
-
I am new to this forum.
My son got score 218 only though he got 4A (with CL). Anyone can advice how the aggregate score calculated. When I checked around even for 3A+1B got 238, and 4A al least in 242+ region.
Both me and my son were disappointed with the result.
I thought of appealing to review the result but most of them discouaraged me, and the result may be the same what we have now.
What should I do and which school he can go in with current score in Ang Mo Kio area?
Is Perice Sce school good?
Thanks in adavance for ur advice… -

hi, appeal start after the posting result is out.Hi all, i'd like to appeal to Dunman High. I got 255 + 2 for my PSLE & DHS's COP last year was 258. One mark difference only
Can anyone tell me how to appeal and when I can start appealing???
And, will Dunman High lower its COP this year? Coz the national top score this year as compared to last year has a really great difference, 8 marks lei!
Help? :?:
P/S: Can i appeal with leadership? Coz i'm a prefect in school & participated in the Head Prefect Election + organised many activities. -
JonC:
Yes, Sec 2 refers to the peers of the 2011 Pri 6 (doing IP at VS & Cedar) and 2012 Pri 6 (doing IP at the other 5 schools).Jojothehusky:

edited - \"These schools will also identify around 50 students each from their Secondary 3 cohort in 2013 (i.e. Secondary
1 in 2011) for the IP.\"
When you are in Sec 3 in 2013, you will not be eligible for the IP at VS/Cedar unless you are at either one of these 2 schools. However, if you did really well, perhaps you can apply to join the IP at any one of the existing IP schools which offers entry at Sec 3? -

Perice Sec is not a bad school. As for your question about the 3A+1B, it has to depend on your son marks. 3 high A and a middle B would have gotten 238. My son got 4A and a distinction for HMT and only got 236+3I am new to this forum.
