      BlurOctopus:
My son got 249 + 3(HMT distinction). We have a few schools in mind:

      Xinmin
      BPGHS
      Rivervalley
      Nan Hua

Anyone can help to see if these schools are okay or give some other schools which is suitable? :?:
May I know where are you located? Xinmin is in Hougang and River Valley is in Boon Lay.

With a score of 249 + 3, he should be able to get into RV without any problem. BPGH and NH are good too, but again it depends on where you are located as they are quite far from each other. And why Xinmin when it seems to me that you are located in the West based on the schools that you have selected.

would appealing to a school with higher score be an option?

You may want to consider Bukit View, Hillgrove, Greenridge.

Don't panic. Not every school's appeal forms are out one day after the release of the PSLE results. You stand a better chance of downloading the appeal form nearer to 22 December.

                  Hi …need some advice …my daugther PSLE T score is 252 .

She is very delighted with her result …as she did not expect to cross 240.

She is wants to go RGS (260-2010 COP) or Duman High(258-2010 COP).

Her chances are very low am i right ? Any advice to us ?

Yes, one should choose the road less travelled. ha ha

A 2009 President's scholar is doing economics at the Peking University, also fondly called \"Beida\" in China.

Sorry to burst your daughter's little bubble but it seems that both her dream schools are beyond her reach, how about RV, that is nearer to her T-score and does she has HMT to add on?

Yes. But they are still not as popular compare to Harvard and Cambridge. In the world university ranking, they are still nowhere near schools like Cambriadge, Harvard etc...In terms of research standard and many fields, their publications are still not on par yet but my point is that these may change soon and who knows it becomes the most popular destinations for top students worldwide overtaking Harvard, MIT, Cam bridge etc...
