Thank-you so much for your reply. I called TKSS on open hse but the reply was there isn't any! Anyway, in order not to hv too many grey hairs overnight, i think will hv TKSS as 1st choice & Temasek as 2nd.ttlkbs:
25hourMaid, with same T-score (235), is TKSS as 1st choice wise? Thx.
I have friends whose kids are at TKSS and they are happy there. Also there are some very good feedback in the TKSS thread in this forum. You might want to go and read some of the comments there. -

[/quote]My understanding is MGS SPC program is as good as GEP class. NYGS student will progress to HCJC at year 5 and take A lvl there. MGS will need to take 'O' Level end of year 4 , it all depends on what your child wants.
Thank you for sharing. my daughter got 261+3 and has DSA of MGS, she wants to appeal NYGS, is it wothy to do that? after all she was enrolled in a special programm: Sophia Blackmore programm of MGS, anybody learn about this programm?noob:

Take SCGS...It is a top 6 school. There are plenty of CCA in SCGS to choose. As for O levels, SCGS did better. -

Aiyo, another one!
Okay, I am not very familiar with the schools that you have selected because I am in North East, but all I know is that NH is a good school but not sure about the rest. No, don't get me wrong. I am not saying that they are not good schools, but it's just that I am no familiar with them enough to give my comments.
The COP is just a guide. It can go up and it can also go down every year, based on the cohort's results and the number of students trying to get into a particular school. There is no guarantee that with such and such a T-score, entry is guaranteed, so it is very hard for us to gauge one's chance of getting into a particular school until the posting results are out.
From past experience, there have been schools whose COP dropped from 246 to 238 in one year (CHIJ Toa Payoh as an eg) and there have also been schools whose COPs went up by one or two points from previous year's, so nobody can guarantee anything.
My advice to you is to put NH as your first choice by all means and hope for the best.
But make sure your second choice is a \"secure\" choice, so exercise your choice wisely.
If your child gets into NH, assuming a drop of 3 points from last year, well and good, and :celebrate:, but if no, it is not the end of the world. Try appealing after the posting is out and if that fails, you probably have to accept it and move on and be happy in the school that you were posted to, so to sum up, my advice is to put NH as 1st choice and choose wisely for your 2nd and 3rd choices.
:celebrate:
