PSLE 2010 Results Report Here
-
My dd’s score is 244 + 2 HMT.
1st choice: CHIJ St Nicks
2nd choice: Anglican
3rd choice: CCHM
4th choice: NanChiau
5th choice: ZhongHua
6th choice: PLMGS
What do u think?
I live in Hougang area. Problem is travel time, estimated: CHIJ 1.5hrs, Anglican 1hr, CCHM 45 min, NanChiau 40min
My hubby thinks travelling time is not important as long as the child likes the school.
What would you consider to be acceptable travelling time? -

Very, very wise advice coming from a Student! :celebrate:I suggest you erase everything & start on blank page again ... think carefully & re-evaluate the schools COP versus your daughter's T-score.
I would remove nan chiau & CCHM since your daughter's T-score is \"quite far off COP of these schools\" - be realistic.
OK since u r 2 points away from Katong Convent. U can try but please put it down as 1st choice. Please do not waste your first choice on some \"unreachable target\".
How about St Anthony's Canossian Convent - what is COP for this school? It is located in the East too.
BTW, COP for St Anthony's Canossian Convent is 226, just nice! -
My dd wants to try for RGS (260).
I am worried of
1). Snobbish students who will do anything to get ahead
2). That being amongst the lowest range of psle scores to get in, she may not be able to cope.
Any advice? Am I just being paranoid? -

Nice to hear that! We'll go over to the open house tomorrow.Lavender_Tea:
We're leaning towards Cedar as well! Are you from Cedar?
YEAP
And proudly so...
Hehehehe
Any comments on MGS from anyone? We would like to have a good comparision between the 2 schools. Thanks. -

So Jieting, tell your son to brace up. PSLE is only 1 small hurdle - road is still long.
I second that because outside world do not look at you PSLE results but it is whether you can work.
Thanks for your advice. My son is better now.
For T-Score of 230, can I choose:
1.) TKSS but COP 234,(Impossible?)
2.) Maris Stella, COP 232,
3.) Nan Chiau, COP 231,
4.) Temasek Sec school, COP 230,
5.) ?
6.) ?
I stay in Pasir Ris so Maris Stella is it too far? And how to go there?
Anyone can help? :?:
