      HopefulFather:
      dear all,

my sone scored 246 . I have been cracking my head.. unable to decide between VS, SJI and Anderson ? we stay in Yishun.

any suggestions ? or any other school recommendations...
do you think, he stands any chance for ACS(I) ?

thanks a ton..for all the HELP and advise..
      :?
Hi My son is from VS. In sec1 he has a friend who stays in Yishun whose dad send him to school every morning and he goes home by bus. Once when he came over to my house (which is in the East) for project I asked why not Anderson since it is a very school (band1) and very strong in Math and science. He said VS is more prestigious. But so much problems when come to project works, in the end lots of clashes between the boys as he want to meet in central library or get the group to go over his place (yishun!!) when majorith of them stay in East or hougang area. Last I heard this year, he is one of the bottom students in the class. So please think carefully as distance is very very very important. In VS lots of projects are graded as they are trying to prepare them for A level in which projects are graded. Hope this help you in making a decision. Really long reply but this is really personal experience......

Dunman High School, COP 258 (2009). (not distance wise)
SCGS, COP 251 (2009). (not distance wise)

Not a wise advice. Her T-score is 254 with HMT and that puts her 4 points below Dunman Hihg's COP of 258. SCGS and MGS would be better considerations if distance is not a problem.

But actually, she should already get accepted either in the 1st or 2nd request.[/quote]Is there any school I can consider putting that is distance-wise?

          DD score is 234 + 2.

Her 1st choice is Cresent Girls (2009 COP - 240) but I am not sure if she can make it. But there isn't many good school around Bukit Merah. 😞
          should I try that?
Anyone ex-CHIJ St. Theresa? COP is 232 but the 2009 GCE O level result average is 16points., does that mean the school is no good in producing quality student? :?
Same issues my daughter is having. She score 223 and there is not much choice around Bukit Merah, Tiong Bahru, Central area. Headache.

last yr when the highest score was 294,RV lowest aggregate was 251.

This yr since the highest score has dropped to 282,and my child scored 246 including 3 marks for hmt.Do u think it is passible for her to go to RV with that score? She aso scored both A* and distinction for her Chinese.

thanks a ton .. apprecaite it sincerely. it has been tough.
Indeed, the distance has been my concern also!!! In the end, if we get VS, we are thinking to move closer to the school. Any idea about SJI? although I am not catholic, I do not mind my son going there..all I want is a good school for him..!

My daughter scored 262 + 3 and I am wondering does she stand a good chance to enter RGS or NYGH? If she does, should her 1st choice be RGS or NYGH? Please advise. Tks:D

I was reading the newspapers and it appears that quite a few of the top PSLE scorers this year have decided to go either RI or RGS. This was also the case last year where a majority of the top scorers (as listed by MOE) chose to go RI / RGS.

would you tell me which newspaper has this news?

actually majority of the top scorers of 2010 come from GEP, they should have DSA offer already.
