      Bowie:
      Hi gals,

Have email to signed my gal up at the Clementi West branch for year 2010 class.
Meanwhile will like to know more about ICL so can prepare my gal better.

      1) How the class are conducted, anyone has a peep?
      2) What kind of homework they have for the 4yo?
      3) Iz all work but no play?
Most important preparation is to make sure that your gal knows A-Z in capital and small letters.

        Hi Bowie,

I can attest that my son has a lot of fun during class (I have no clue what goes on). ICL is the first class he looks forward to going, even with all the work that’s supposed to be going on.

When my son was 4 y/o, he had to write the alphabet of the week - enough to fill up a page. there could be 1 or 2 each week. That’s all. Don’t worry about level of homework cos it doesn’t take too long a time.

Voovoo is right, just have to recognise alphabets - my son started out not being able to write a,b,c.

I like that this is conducted in small groups (max 6) and the teacher will update parents after class if there is anything that needs reinforcing, or any work that parents need to do for the next week.

          Hi Bowie,

For the alphabet of the week that hquek mentioned, mine was a bit different. One side of the page is to write the alphabet, the other side is to find pictures beginning with the sound and paste them. My son’s ICL teacher will always want them to find pictures that are not so common. Eg letter a, she don’t encourage us to find pictures like apples, ant. She wants something different. So normally we searched the pictures from the internet. Very fun for both parents & child.

My son attend Punggol branch. I like the teacher although she looks strict. My son loves to attend her class. The standard should be same as they need to get ICL certified before teach.

The minimum must be 4 yrs old. You may refer their website F&Q.

                      Hi Jedamum,

My daughter is currently attending the P1 ICL lower Primary Enrichment. I can say the lower Primary one is as good as the pre-school. Its just that it will be very difficult for \"outsiders\" to enrol in their Primary enrichment because they will give priority to their current students ( those who attend the pre-school ICL). So normally, by the time the current students fill out all the vacancies, it will only left only a few or sometimes no vacanies for public. But since right now they have open a new training centre at west coast, maybe u can call them to enquire.

I had pmed you separately for the info on fees in case it's not convenient to share here.
They don't increase class size as the level goes higher? if so, really difficult to step into the 'circle'. 😐
