To follow the suggestion of putting your first choice as your dream school, is 7 points too much of impossible? I am thinking of Temasek Sec COP 230, followed by Mayflower/Gan Eng Seng COP 222. My dd’s t-score is 223. Is the first choice a waste?

Will she still stand a chance of getting a place at Gan Eng Seng since her t/score was only better than GES’s COP by 1 point?

My answer would be yes its a waste of first choice. 7 points difference is too wide. Put Gan Eng Seng as first choice then; since you seem concerned if she can get into Gan Eng Seng?

            thanks for d swift response.

do you think he stands a high chance to AH?
            he loves the school too.

i need to put carefully the second choice.. i m in dilemma between TKSS and CCHM or Nan Chiau..
his form teacher advised to go like TKSS,Dunman or NgeAnn as they are more on sport and ICT which suit my son.
Does it mean chinese culture school teaching chinese calligraphy kinda those stuff????
i m not sure he will love the chinese culture in CCHM eventhough he is in HMT. i worry he may struggle with it... 😞
as i m a pr here, i m not sure either what differentiate chinese school and other school in teaching/program or?

Hi, i m new comer here.

seeking everyone's advise on wiser choice for my son with 236+1 tscore

            1.Anglican high
            2. TKSS
            3. Chung chen
            4. Nan Chiau
            5. Dunman
            6. Temasek

Honestly his dream school is VS, but isnt it too far gap to put in as 1 choice?

            Thanks all!

Yes, 236 is no way for VS. Don't waste your choice.

I would switch CCHM as 2nd to take advantage of the HMT.

Thank you so much for the quick response. Gan Eng Seng is close to
home and seems to be a decent school. Just want to make sure that I did not miss opportunity for my dd to get into a better school. Yes, I agree 7 points is to wide of a gap.

At this point of time, nobody can guarantee anything, but I think 3 marks from the dream school's COP is worth the risk, especially if your son's likes AHS very much, though of course it is a bit risky, so my advice is to choose your 2nd choice very, very carefully.

Sorry, but this is not my forte, so unable to help you with you. I only give my advice based on your choices and the schools' COP.
