What is your reasoning for the estimation? How many primary schools are there in Singapore? 300-400? Can we say that on average, every primary school produce one psle candidate with t-score>270?
There are a total of 178 primary schools in Singaporeyongjianrong:
Can someone make an informed guess of how many psle candidates scoring 270 and above?
Approximately 90-110?
276-282 there's 17.
Not EVERY primary school produces 1 or more pupils with 270 and above; some of the better primary schools produce a handful of them.
I believe that the total number of scorers with 270 and above form less than 1% of the cohort; put another way, if you scored 270 and above, you are in the top 1% of your cohort.

Do you know how many schools that do not have PSLE school candidates for PSLE 2010 exam?As far as I know, there are 2 schools for this year (2010):
North Vista Primary and Horizon Primary.
Do you know whether there are any additional primary schools other than the above mentioned 2 primary schools that didn't have any PSLE school candidates for 2010 PSLE exam?
Thks.

Here's the complete results by year; 6 new schools in 2008, 1 in 2010 and 1 in 2011. Cantonment Primary is not included in the list of the 178 primary schools since it is not \"technically\" a primary school yet. So there will be 179 primary schools wef 2011!
22 Jun 2005

p/s info collated from MOE website
1% of 40000 is still 400. I think there are less than 200 with score equal or more than 270. So 270 is really better than top 0.5% for this batch.
I believe most of the schools with at least one candidate with score above 270 are already on the list provided by yongjianrong. And even considering a few schools like Rulang, Nanhua, Nanyang and Rosyth can produce a handful of maybe 10 with scores above 270, the number is still well below 200.
