congrats, Mummy-mania! is your dd going in at year 1 (sec 3) or year 3 (JC1)?My daughter is moving on to IP at VJC next year. I would like to know more about the learning curriculum there for a start.
Any information regarding the elective subjects, CCAs and so on? -
Thanks
She is an IP1 freshman. From what I know, a student opts for IP when he or she is in Sec 2, and takes the programme officially in Sec 3. -

* Good Sec 1 & 2 results (Mostly above 70%)
* Teacher's recommendation letter
* English and Maths admission tests
This year VJC shortlisted about 150+ out of 900+ that applied for interview.
After the interview, 90 is selected for admission for IP1 (Sec 3) for the next academic year. -
I thot the proper convention is to refer to Year 1 through Year 6 for the IP track; with Years 1 thru 4 correcponding to Sec 1 thru 4 and Years 5 and 6 corresponding to JC1 and 2.
So if your child is joining the IP school at Sec 3 equivalent, you refer to it as Year 3 rather than IP1 (which I dont think there is such a term).
If you join the IP in Year 1, you are joining after your PSLE.

IP 2 - Sec 4
IP 3 - JC 1
IP 4 - JC 2
Schools like Dunman High, River Valley High etc, do offer IP starting from Secondary 1, though.
