Calling parents who drive their DS to HCI from Khatib area (Orchid Park Condo.) I am thinking of car pooling our DS so that we can take turn to drive them to school daily on a weekly basis. Drop me a PM if u r interested so that we can contact each other through phone. Thks.

Care to share wat's yr view on the way the coach/teacher in-charge is handling the club....My DS is in the team, he has no complaints abt his cca but mummy here feels tat the coach is pushing too hard & do not agree with the way he operates the club.....MC & official reasons not recognise... when u'r sick, u hv to worry abt when to do make up trainings...hv to resume training ASAP, hence no time to recover fully...end up falling sick again. The coach is unhappy when team mbrs fall sick & blame them for not knowing how to take care of themselves....this is ridiculous man....who likes to b sick right? My DS seldom fall sick but eversince he joins this club, mayb due to the hot sun & sometimes the intensive training...oso not recovering well when sick... he has been having fever a couple of times tis yr le...sigh.

There is a msg in EMB today asking for feedback on CCA. you may wish to give your view there.

anyway, according to the MOE website, last day of school for primary and secondary schools is Fri, 18 Nov. Refer to http://www.moe.edu.sg/schools/terms-and-holidays/2011/#pri-sec-sch-term

For 2010, the last school day for HCI was 4 Nov.

Ds2 will be in sec 1 HCI next year. After buying all the books I realised so many are optional, including ALL the Chinese n math books. Now I wonder if I've wasted money buying them. Anyone knows if these books will be used at all?


I should be happy my son's going there but I don't know why I wish he'd chosen RI or ACSI. Only consolation is it's so close to home he can walk to school. I hope it will turn out to be the right choice for him- he was adamant on HCI even though almost all the boys in his GEP cohort have chosen RI. Anyone with positive experiences in HCI who can allay this mom's apprehension? Ds1 is in the ACSI IB n I was positive about it from the startn still think it's the best choice for him. Just hope this is the best choice for ds2. Perhaps only time can tell?

Dear Chirunner, would you please, especially for the benefit of those intending to choose HCI, if the past year experience for your DS has been pleasant and enjoyable?
