2011 P1 Registration Exercise for 2012 In-Take

My girl's going to register for P1 next year... I'm concerned as I'm staying in Bukit Timah area with schools like SCGS and Nanyang within 1 km. Since both schools have high nos. of applicants, I don't know what to do!!!Plus, I think I've missed the PV registration thus, I can't qualify for Phrase 2B. What else can i do??

How about RGPS, Pei Hwa and MGS ? Do you stay near these schools ?

RGPS is the next closest but its est. 2 km away...... sob sob

i suppose ur dilemma is whr to go for gd schs that are far, or a nearby neighbrhd sch? i duno anythg abt hougang pri. only know that sji is catholic, boy sch and wld be affiliated to sji independent (sec sch) that offers ip i believe but do double chk. n a well sought after sch. many parents wld love to be in ur position ie 2A2. in the long run, if u want to get that affiliated to a sec sch (whc i supp means lower cut off pt for own pri student to enter same sec sch） ， it seems sji is gd.

anderson is supp to be the better sch in amk.

of cos being near to a pri sch saves much time n effort in travelling.

depends on ur priority.
u can choose the sch u want, if not nearby, shift house.
its easier than transferring sch, i supp

Agree with what another parent mentioned...most parents with sons would love to be in your position...privilege to enjoy 2A2 for 2 schools.
It's really what you want - close proximity to school or look long term like primary school with affiliation to sec.

Privilege to register under Phase 2A2 is only during P1 registration...once you miss it, the privilege is over. Getting a transfer is very tough as there is always a long wait list.

Hi,
If you are an old girl of the school, you will fall under Phase 2A...if alumni member, Phase 2A1. As for registration date, your daughter will given a booklet from her childcare/kindergarten in late June/early July with all the dates for children under diff phases.
