Anyone know the vacancies available for respective Primary Schools? Is it average of 300 places in every school starting from Phase 1.

You can use last year's numbers as a guide I guess..

Those schools which are still having double sessions will most likely reduce their number of P1 intakes as they have to work towards single session by 2015 or 16.

Sometimes, they may also open up another class (like in my DD’s case) but I think it is primarily to reduce the number of students per class.

I guessed by now many kindergarten & CC would be distributing the P1 Registration Booklets for those in K2. Think MOE should be releasing the website information in June which is just next week from now.

i recently called up a few schools to find out about the vacancies for P1. All replied that this year’s vacancies will remain similar to that of last 2 years, but might reduce 1 or 2 classes next year due to MOE’s plan towards single session.

Each class has 30 students. Meaning vacancies will be reduced by 30 to 60 for next year…

just want to know is the registration date for phase 2B (e.g.) the same across the board? or depends on the school itself?? :?

I was just thinking, if a child qualified for phase 2B in 2 schools, went for registration for choice no.1 school (balloting required), but ballot unsuccessful, can he/she goes to choice no. 2 to register under phase 2B? if the result is out at the same time, dun think the parents can rush to coice no. 2 should choice no. 1 unsuccessful right?

Phase 2B starts and ends at the same time for all schools. So there is no such thing as a \"first\" or \"second\"-choice. You can only register for 1 school per Phase, and you'll be informed at the end of that Phase if you are successful or not. If you are unsuccessful, you will have to join the rest of the parents vying for Phase 2C with no specific advantage that might be due to your participation in Phase 2B.

                        HI,

                        I am new here.

A friend’s sister in law managed to register her niece (her brother’s kid) into her alma mata at CHIJ.

Does anyone know how is this possible?

Does this require some kind of statutory declaration?

                        Thanks
