You can write in to the school with your son's P1 results...to be on the wait list. When there is a vacancy and your son's results are good, there is a high chance of a transfer. All the best to you.

may I ask how to label the books?

              thanks

The basic info is the child's name and the class. For CL textbooks and activity books, do include the name in Chinese characters.

In the past, I also put in a smaller note for Lost & Found info \"If found, please return to a) PHPPS Class xxx, or b) our home address. I have seen many cases of displaced books left in public places

Some write the basic info directly on the books or the insides of the books. Some use the label printers to print the basic info and then paste on the book covers.

I chose to print the basic info using Microsoft Excel, then pasted on the inside of the plastic wrapping used to wrap the books. This way, I can reuse the plastic wrapping for 2nd semester and also when donating the books to NTUC in Nov, the rec'g party gets to hv a cleaner cover.

              Thanks,
I see so the info is written/ or printed and pasted on the top right corner of the text books/work books, or inside the books.
              either is ok?

              thanks

From what I have gathered, the top class for both P3 and P4 will be the class with the last number for that respective level. Apparently, not likewise for P2 class allocation. :?

Yup that's right. For Pri 3, Responsibility 9 is the top class followed by 8 and so on.

U R Right, My Gal Confirm for P6 Also,
The Top Class is Resilience 10, follow by Resilience 9 ....

But One Puzzuling Thing she Brought up, One of her Classmate in P5 (Faith 5) who does Avg in Class is sent to Resilience 1 ???? :?
Hope it's a Typo Error .... And she is supposed to be in Resilience 10 ....
Else All our Theory about Top Class .... Goes Ka-Pum!
                Ha Ha....

Now My Gal is Pondering on How to Shortform the Class Name Next Year ???? :?

Shall it be : RES (NOPE ! : Got Responsibility, etc Already ....)
Or Should it Be RSL, RESI, RESL, .... Ooooh So many Combination to Choose from ....
                How ???? :?

                  Hi david1234,

I always write the names on the corner top right of the book cover and the first page as well…teachers told me it’s easier to locate the names when distributing the books.

Yup...that was what his P1 form teacher told me. So I have been doing that since. Really helps. 😉

You need to walk in personally to the general office to fill up a form to put him in the waiting list. Attach with his P1 results as well as a letter (optional) to explain why you would like to transfer him. The principal will make her choice when vacancy arises. Not FIFO, so you may still stand a chance even when you are not first on the list. They do give priority on some circumstances such as proximity, compassionate reason and good exam results, but exactly how good is good, of course, I have no idea. All the best! 😉
