          Hello, I'm new here.

I scored 256+3 for my PSLE (GEP student). I got into DHS, but I've never ever wanted to get into that school (it was sort of a if-you-can't-get-into-nygh-and-rgs-might-as-well-just-go-into-any-random-school thing). It's very far away and I need to take MRT there. My parents aren't willing to drive me there (although they drop my brothers off at HCI every morning) because it's too far away! They are very disappointed with my results AND the S1 posting exercise results. I dislike co-ed schools alot. They didn't even put me in a GEP class and all of my friends are going to either RGS or NYGH.
However, the COP for RGS is 260. I appealed to get into the school, but I don't think it will be successful since HCL is not counted. Will I receive the results by SMS or email? Thanks!
Do you wish to consider NJC? their COP is only one point away from yours and you may stand a better chance. Your parents can also drop you off since NJC is just opposite of HCI?

BTW, your result is very good. I am sure many parents out here also wish that their kids can get the same score as yours.

Do they have secondary GEP? Actually, I am a RGPS girl and NJC is right beside my old school. πŸ™‚ However, I don't think my parents would like it. (Gosh, they only like RGS and NYGH! :x )
I guess it's because my brothers scored really well for their PSLE so my parents have high expectations of me. Thanks for the suggestion!

i'm sure with one point difference, you'd be able to get in. think about it, that's what appeals are for! πŸ˜„

good luck to you! you can do it πŸ™‚

I am not sure whether NJC has GEP classes? But does it matter anyway? This shouldn’t be a priority for you at this moment.

                      Polar bear:
Can anyone tell me what my chances are of being successful in my application to RI with an aggregate score of 262, I did apply to RI through DSA, but was rejected and ACSI accepted me instead. Thanks in advance.

Know of someone who got 263, posted to DHS under DSA and has succeeded in appealing to RI. I would like to know if there is anyone who scored below 263 and has received favourable reply from RI.

NJC is a good choice and I'm sure you will enjoy yourself there. Your T-score is very good, and you have worked hard for it. I know your parents may have different expectations due to your brother's results, but you should not be comparing yourself with your brother as you have your own uniqueness. There are lots of kids out there who would luv to have your good results! All the Best to you in your appeal to NJC - you have a high chance of getting it.
