      Hi Mathspark,

I have to completely agree that I get lots of information from this website for the past yr. The only \"con\" is that the newly posted topics are so fast that we don't know how much we have been missing out, even by nt logging on a day!! Hope you don't find my query troublesome but wonder if anyone has ever requestd for the column on homepage (where the new topics are posted) to be longer? hehe...so that we can scroll and look for more newly posted items. This would be so much easier than to do search separately. Or maybe someone has already raised this and a reply has been given.

all these avenues are 'well-documented' here on the forum, but you need to comb thru' them. Good luck:

Sure. I will be browsing through regularly. Thanks for the tips.

Actually you can see all the posts since your last visit once you get to the forum page. On the top right hand corner, there is this "view posts since last visit". By clicking on that, it will bring you to all the new post since your last visit. I do that every time I come into KP, it really helps.

I am also sooo excited, as DD will be going to pri 1 tomorrow, during the orientation the sch gave us a hand book When I read through I realised that what are the books to bring for the 1st day, as the teachers will be collecting it from them. They also offered a 3 days of pack lunch for the kids if we are interested to sign up, there after they will have a buddy system for the kids for the recess.

Maybe you could check if you have received any hand book during the orientation.
hope yr girl enjoys her first day. And you too, mum03.

No problem. We are all here to help one another. Like what mathsparks said, I will also check the box at the bottom of the thread that says \"watch this topic for replies\" if I want to keep track of a particular topic.

Thanks! That's what I have been doing and thus I would have lots of email notifications each time I checked my mails. The funny thing is my DS would always exclaim with envy that I have lots of emails! He has limited emails cos only his family members would be sending him at this moment as he's only in p2. πŸ˜„

Haha, in that case, I would suggest that you only check the boxes of those threads that you really want to keep track of to minimise the avalange of alerts flooding your emails, or perhaps, do what I did when I first came on KP.

When I first signed up at KP, there were simply too many topics that I wanted to read, so I did first thing first, meaning I used the \"view new posts since last visit\" and started from there and only after I have more or less covered all those topics that I wanted to read, then I slowly went back to the forum and combed through the forum, thread by thread, reading those that were of interest to me and boy, just that thread on PSLE alone (was almost 90 pages at that time), took me a few hours to skim through, picking up the essential info from the non-essential, after that, I simply went on to read only those that were of immediate interest to me and I am barely in KP for a month, but can safely say that I have more or less covered what I want to read/know.

Tell your son that his time will come when he gets an influx of emails everyday! πŸ˜‰

Sorry, coolcat, we have OTed quite a bit on your thread. Hope that Day 1 turns out well for your child!

Its North Spring Primary School, Sengkang.

I know its not so popular.

Only after looking at kiasuparents.com, I found that there are so many discussions on choosing the school and how important it is to choose the right school.

It may be too late now. πŸ™‚
Any advice on how I can make good use of this. Or is there anyway to change to a preferred school in coming years.
Hi, i have been personally studying in Compassvale Primary in Senkang for 6 years. the discipline is very good and my parents are glad that the rest of my siblings study there too! i'm taking the PSLE this year and our principle is helping us alot. We were encouraged to join a workshop where they teach us how to manage our time wisely and how to memorise thing faster and easier.

In my opinion, i think the scool is good and i have a sister studying in P1 this year in Compasvale Primary. She enjoys her lessons in school and say they are fun and exciting. Coolcat, you may want to consider that school for your child. I hope my opinion helps.

In the absence of a class time table, does your dd/ds bring all her/his books to school on the first day of the new school term? If not, how do you decide which books to bring? TIA.
