P4 SA2 will include everything taught at P3 and at PSLE, the kids have to remember everything from P3-P6. Cannot forget any detail.

Hi, so that means to say we have to keep all the textbooks + Assessment books for P3 - P6 until PSLE?
Thanks. -
Champion:
Yes, you have to keep all the textbooks and those Science assessment books you find useful until P6. Honestly, I only kept son's textbooks and 1 assessment book...but his notes are kept up.janet_lee88:

Hi, Thanks so much for your advice :thankyou: .
Really appreciate that - 1 more question which is the only assessment book your keep (p.s. guess that publisher notes must be more comprehensive  ). -
Hi Champion,
I kept ‘Conquer Science P3/4’…questions are related to his school exam format. School textbooks are rather brief but still have to keep. -
see… the problem is that one child from one school in singapore can study different topics from another child in another school… not quite standardized … i wonder why??
-
I understand from my kid’s school that there is lower block (P3 / P4) and upper block (P5 / P6) topics to be covered. The sequence / order of the topics to be covered is up to individual schools. That is why there are times whereby parents will complain that the Science tuition classes are covering different topics from what are being taught is in school. Ultimately by P6, all the topics to be covered in PSLE will be covered before PSLE.

Schools are given the liberty to cover any topic they wish but, by end of P4, ALL 5 topics in 'Lower Block' must be taught and tested.
At P6, everything from P3 to P6 will be tested...upper and lower block.
Usually at P3, the first topic taught is Diversity...followed by Systems. Energy and Interaction will be taught at P4 (since they are much tougher topics). -

Yes, agree with that you have said, Janet. Like I mentioned before - my gal book list does not have System so I have to wait till next week to chk wif the teacher what are the themes covering in P3.
Do other parents have other advise? What did your child cover in p3? TIA. -
Champion:
Understand that for our school, topics that are covered in P3 will be diversity, followed by cycles.
