Will the chairman ask the existing EM to relinguish their post if they don't \"required\" it so that the observers can become a EM?
My RC currently has 27 EM and there are at least 6 to 8 observers, so not sure how to accommodate them since PA's guideline is max. of 30 EM per RC.
I was told by the CC that one don't need to wait for the new RC term to start before appointing as EM. That means one can be appointed as EM in the middle of the term. Is that true? -

Since yours is a young estate, those posts might be just given to them and the term of appointment (EM) is normally at least a year. So quite unlikely. As for yr case, very risky leh, but nothing is impossible, just try. BTW yr child next yr 5 yrs old?

Yes, they can appoint at any moment (not so rigid). For my case, they will do it batch by batch, so if u miss one batch, then will be another batch, about 3 months bah. -

Ok lah, I must admit that quite a number of the Observers are not active or sleeping. We're slowly removing their names so that others can join. Dunno why they come, appear once, then disappear. Totally no commitment. I am very particular and always get PA to remove the dead grass. We usually don't remove EM unless his attendance is really bad. Usually removal is after they have officially resigned.

Interesting....You mean Observer is an official thing from PA/CC such that you have to officially remove their names for others to join as Observer?

Sorry, didnt make myself clear. Observers are not official but we need PA to remove the names else it will keep appearing in the attendance record. Think there's also a reminder letter to them on their attendance. If no improvement, then PA will remove their names.

I am staying in that region too. My advice is you sumbit the PA volunteer to your cc soon..cuz it takes a long process to be observer in that zone..and after that another long process to be EM before you start of to serve for another year to be qualify for the phase 2b.
fyi, there are at least 4 zones in that area and two of them are super active...and hard to be EM...so my advice is to start early ... -

PR is even tougher to get a place as EM, they need 5 Singaporean to confirmed 1PR, if I'm not wrong. Pls take note too.
