my sister got rejected by njc with 257.
She probably missed by mere decimal points. Is she appealing? -

Can try to appeal, I guess.
i have a feeling that NJC sets the COP, bc the number posted via s1 posting is only 204? The no. of vacancies is 250. -
Hmm...maybe. Btw when I was there, one of the admin staff told me that this year intake is about 200 only. Where did you get the 250 number from ?
The school said that vacancies for 2009 would be 150, for 2010 would be 200, and for 2011 it would be at the maximum capacity of 250. If you read on the NJC thread, they mention only 204 under s1 posting though, so what the school staff told you about the \"intake being around 200\" is not wrong, right? It may change with the appeals coming in though.

Last year's intake including appeals was just under 200. -
Hi,
This may be OT for this thread.
I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to all those kind and helpful parents in KSP that have rendered their help to me in the past years, be it in maths questions or the choosing of secondary schools, such as 25hourmaid, Innovate, Vanilla Cake, Maths Guru and many others…
Here’s wishing everyone in KSP a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year !!

Do you mean that the NJC COP is not the T-score of the last student admitted ? That their COP is pre-decided?
I don't think it is likely. If they pre-decide why should they bother with decimal points, anyone above 257.0 should get in.
cheez06,
Good Luck to your sis in case she is trying appeal. -

It is very confusing indeed! Espeacially for the first time PSLE parents like me.
i just wonder if there is a need to have 2 COPs for ACSI. According to MOE, there is only 1 COP (max 2 if there are affiliated primary schools), but no COP for IP. Imagine the additional 8 schools that will be offering IP soon - all will have COP for IP and non-IP, it will be very confusing. :?
Is this 245 COP for affiliated? Or even other school children can get into ACSI with T-Score of 245+? Please clarify. :?:
Is there a chance to switch to IB/IP for a student who is from the lower end of the Tscore if his sec1/sec2 results are very good?
Do the other IP schools also take in students with lower T-score than COP into the 'O' level stream? I mean do the other schools like RI/RGS/HCI... offer 'O' level as well? TIA -

Oh these decimals. :stupid: My collegue's daughter too seems to have missed her first choice by decimals. Her T-score was 260. First choice RGS(got rejected) got second choice NJC.cheez06:
