I have a friend who was a PV there, her dh was also in the RC, and she stayed next door to CH. She had to ballot and says it was the most unnerving day of her life.

the risk of not getting into the school of choice is always there for Phase 2B onwards - especially in catholic schs cos you won't know the takeup rate for catholic/church members. that's why must always have backup plan/sch.

I want Cat high. and also, partly because houses near SJIJ is not cheap. if we can get in cat high, then no need to buy so expensive house just to be near SJIJ. Distance to me is very important.

For Cat high, only 1, 2A1 & 2A2 no ballot, there will be balloting even for within 1km for 2B and 2C.

yup, that’s why don’t want to take the risk. I don’t want to end up buying a place nearby and then no place.still have to travel. not worth the risk.

But there is no chance at all if not within 1km. This is like buying a chance just to qualify for balloting.
