Dear P1 mummies, there are some books required to bring on 1st day of school which this blur mummy here don’t understand what are these… hahahaha


1) 2 exercise books (label Eng & Spelling) - Does this mean that 1 exercise book label as Eng and the other one label as Spelling or both label as Eng & Spelling

2) What is Math Test 1? Do we have a book for this?

I need expert advice… So anxious… Everything not prepared… last week for battle.

matha test 1 is my pals are here maths test one book. slightly bigger than the my pals are here red text book.

yes. one exercise book is for their weekly spelling tests.... and one for english. they do some work like fill in the blanks type sentences(grammar) given by the teacher etc etc....

In the book list, there is no such book " My pals are here maths test one" book?

I only bought as per the booklist - My Pals are here! Maths’ pupil’s book 1A and 1B. My Pals are Here! Maths workbook 1A part 1 & 2 and 1B part 1 & 2/

sorry. my daughter will be p2 in2011. this yr she used that test book for term tests/practice tests. it was there in our list. but for p2 its not there.
I think they have scaraped the exams... so must be printing mistake or they are just using the same old letter....

dont worry your book list is different from ours. we didn buy the diary, toothbrush etc in the first. they received it once they started going to school. FOC :lol:

this time replace them for her ie I bought new brush and other stuff..

I scanned through the price list during the orientation. I remember there are Japanese food, Chinese food, Muslim food, snacks etc. The price are below $2.

I think $2 should be enough if your child is bringing her own water bottle.

are parents allowed into the school premise?


i have some things to take to the student care, sleeping bag and toiletries etc.

For those sending their children to school, it is drop off and go outside the school. You don’t even get out of your car as they will have people helping your kids walk from your car into the school. The quicker parents get used to this, the faster this will take. Exercise patience especially for the first few days as parents of P1 students get used to the system.


If you have other business in the school, you can go in but will have to sign in at the security desk. If you can bring your things in later in the day or on later days, suggest you do so as the first few days, around 7 to 7.30am will be pretty hectic.
