All About Parent Volunteers (PV)

Hi sweetbaby, if you are staying within 200m from Poiching, why couldn't you get in under phace 2C. Based on the Poi Ching balloting history, no ballot requierd for <1km.
Unfortunately, we are only applicable for PV under phase 2B
Its like so near yet so far.. Its so funny that my nearest primary schools St Hilda & Poi Ching all less than 200 m away will be near to impossible to enter through Phase C. If my PV plan doesnt work out, our boy have to take school bus to a further school. Such irony
Or did i interpret wrongly? -

Not too sure, will definitely research more on that school etc balloting history, Like is it SAP? Thx for the suggestion.

I started looking for schools when DS1 was halfway through N2 - thanks to an alert from friend. A bit late for some, but luckily managed to catch onto the bandwagon for others - still a very stressful experience (the hunting that is). From what I know some schools needs to enroll 2 years in advance , however, depends on individual schools as some needs only one year in advance doing PV till your actual year by June for Primary one registrations.

If aiming for \"Clan PV \" , at least four years in advance and must be active too. Which means to says once our children reach 3 years old we parents must starts to plan for which Primary school to enrol them in and doing all sorts of PV. Very Stress, Right?
As for clan pv, depends on the clan you are after. If not from that denomination, totally dunnid to think. And if you are, some schools are not that hot. I heard that some parents (aiming for not so popular schools) managed to get that precious letters even though they were members for only 1-2 (or even less than 1 year). -

We started thinking of primary schools when son was in Nursery...thanks to a friend. Very stressful writing in to school to be PV...before not, not knowing how to go about it. Literally had to ask step by step. -
Wat a sad and angry nite to open the letter box and get a reply that WE ARE NOT ACCEPTED AS PV.

Well, many schools are fully taken up in P2C. -
Daddy
It's hard to accept, esp for 1st timers registering for PV or P1 registration. Even for myself when we were rejected for PV then, the news really made us very depressed and we didn't know what to do nor where to go.

Popular schools are more popular now.
