the wait is agonising, like a fellow member said, every phone call makes me jump, esp those of unfamiliar nos. received a few but they turned out to be banks promoting their credit cards!

would like to know how long do we have to wait before giving up ? i have yet to buy uniforms and books for ds and school is opening next tuesday… i heard that some appeal results will only be known in january after school reopens. so the kids have to wear primary school uniforms to school? and what about books? how do they follow what the teachers r saying without books to refer to?

will they send emails to inform that our appeals r unsuccessful?

        thks

I think it have got to do with the specific school you are appealing to. For certain school, they are pretty clear about when is their cut off for appeal, and the last date they will inform parents of the outcome.

Thus you might want to contact the school to get this info ...

All kids are expected to report to school (orientation) in proper attire, but of course the good news is that there will be no lesson during the first couple of days in school.

But since like you, I am also waiting for the result, my comments will ends here and good luck to you.

my friend score 222 and appealed for Yishun Town Secondary School(COP of 235)she does not have any talent and does not have a CCA. she went for an interview three days ago and the principal says that if there is vancacy,he will give it to her and she says that she is confident of entering that school. She then asked me whether she could enter that school..As i am not sure, can i ask u guys? (Sorry for my terrible english)

Sorry, but this is a bit like what do you think will be the first prize number for this weekend????

I think if your friend have went thru the interview and received comments directly from the school, then he/she should be in best position to discern.

Of course the result is kind of far from the COP. In any case, good luck.

Some successful appeal cases only come through in Jan. There are usually no classes in the first week of school because of orientation activities. So books aren't really necessary. BUT there's no harm in buying books because booklists aren't that different from school to school. I would also buy one set of uniform for your son otherwise he'll feel really awkard during the first week of school while he waits for his appeal status.
