hi desertwind
thanks for the sharing
after struggling for a while, decided to go ahead with school bus though heart felt soo..bad but guess I have to learn how to let go cause that is the best rational choice at the moment..just have to pray DS will be able to cope well
attended the orientation ytd, he doesn't even look for me! busy exploring, listening to his teacher while she read the story book
hope 1st 3 days will be fine too...
any parents out there taking school bus too?? i checked the bus fare ytd, got a shock though! $100! from my place if i drive only take abt 15 mins the most too! wonder whether the bus driver trying to \"ke tot\" us parents!! -
Bishan to MMK is $85. They have increased the fare. My elder paid only $75 just 2 mths ago.
I'm still not sure if I would continue MMK, coz I planning to put him in full day care. Sigh...his temper too hot for me to handle already.

Wow, your DS sounds so \"kuai kuai\" leh! I went for the orientation yesterday too and my DS does everything (ie. playground, playwater, go toilet) except sit still and listen to the teachers!
Trying not to worry-sick whether he will be ok when term starts, anyway, just hope that when we are not around, he will listen to the teacher and listen to them during story-telling time as well!
As for school-bus, it is about that rate only and if I am not wrong, I think they quoted me SGD110 or SGD120 from AMK to MMK and if I take one way, the fees will only be lower by about SGD10 or SGD20!
So all the best happy to be mum, and glad to hear your DS is fitting in well!

Does anyone knows when is the first day of sch for pre N? Is it 4 Jan? Didn't go to the orientation, forgot about it.
Now, I kinda regret changing to am session.

My DS is in Nursery and I am very glad to report that he has settled down very well too! In fact, his class was the first to settle down ie. on the 2nd day already close doors without parents around. He was overly excited on the 1st day of school and I got to stay throughout with him in class and he was walking around not listening to the teachers.
By the 2nd day, he was much calmer but still held on to my hands for playground and snack time until just before storytime. I noticed all parents from his class already cleared out so I also told him I will wait for him outside. The teachers are fantastic I must say as one hug him after I left so he did not cry. He listened to the teachers and sat down nicely after I left. On the 2nd day, he was already smiling when he went up the steps of MMK so I too was glad he was happy and looking forward to go to school!
On the 3rd day all his teachers told my maid (I did not go already) that he was a good boy! OK already, not crying, sat and listen nicely.
So what a relief indeed!
It is indeed good your boy in pre-Nursery is settling down so well. I saw so many pre-N kids crying so jia-lat!
