Hi, Raynreg's suggestion would suffice. If you think this will make the schoolbag too light for your comfort, add in 2 single-line and 2 squared exercise books. The most important items I feel are the school handbook and stationery. As mentioned, teachers will staple notes of required stuff to bring in their handbook. Check their handbook daily, and faithfully, esp in Term 1.
Hope this helps

My dd is in 1D - Confidence
Still haven't done much to prepare for the 1st day. Just finished washing all her new uniform. Haven't even bought the school handbook yet . Didn't buy any new stationary for her either. Guess will just use her old ones from kindergarten. Do they need to wear the white tennis shoes to school every day? -
my gal in 1G (Friendship)…tis type of class naming is really confusing !
wat time is the recess? wld parents be allowed to enter the sch during recess & watch (sideline) ? -
not sure about the recess time. i heard we can stay in the school for the first 2 days though. are you guys planning to do that?

Hi Shandee
Recess is from 3pm to 3.30pm. You may watch your DD and DS from afar. I don't think you can even step into the tuckshop. But no worries, your child will be looked after by upper primary students. They will be assigned to take care of them on a buddy basis. 1 upper primary student to 2 P1 students.
If you intend to catch a peek at them, I suggest you be at the tuckshop slightly early as there are many anxious parents as well
Remember to take a picture of them..its their first step to formal education and many more years ahead :celebrate: . I'm sure the kids are as anxious as you are.... -
hihi, my gal is in 1C (1 Patience).
Just rec’d note that there’s a Stellar Programme Briefing on 21Jan, 5-6pm, any mummies going? -
hello, my gal is in 1G (Friendship)…anyone’s child in same class too ?
with regards to STELLAR prog, is this the first year RVPS is starting on STELLAR ? I believe the session on 21 Jan is more of a Q&A session…
