wow... so we can do PV in multiple schools
However, if you PV for two schools, you actually have more flexibility in choosing which school to register with. If you feel your child has a higher chance of getting into School A vs School B, you will be able to register with School A, since you are a PV of both schools. Subsequently, before P2B ends, if you think you want to switch to School B, you only need to withdraw your application with School A and apply with School B. For parents who are PV in one school only, there is no such flexibility. -

Yes, if schools accept your PV application, you can do PV in multiple schools and decide which which school you would like your child to be in...esp if chances of getting into those schools are high.

Thanks for all the replies! I 'm staying within 1-2 km of pei hwa but would prefer my DS to go to Henry Park which is >2pm away. no offense , simply only cos the Chinese standard in Pei Hwa is really high.
If I PV at both schools, assuming they accept us, can I try for Henry Park then Pei Hwa as a back up? Will we be in time? Cos the registration at Pei Hwa under the same phase would be over by then right? Or I can only look at the number of places left after phase 2A at each school and bet my odds? -
hi kylene
For the past few years, there were no balloting for Henry Park under phase 2B. But I recall reading that it is quite difficult to get selected as PV for Henry Park.
Good Luck ! -

Hmm... the surer thing is St. Anthony Primary in P2A2. If moving within 1km of ACS is not a prob, then do so, but register at St Anthony first, as an insurance against possible balloting within 1km at ACS, which could happen.
i recommend moving within 1 km of acs...for a sure thing. i think there is little or no chance outside 2 km for acs. go to the kiasuparents homepage to checknettie:
My boy is registering next year and i have 2 options.
Phase 2B in ACS
Phase 2A2 in St Anthony Primary
But I am staying out of 2km of ACS.
Which one should i choose? Please Help!!!! Should i move with in 1km of ACS to get him to P2B? :?: -
nettie:
Remember to register son at St Anthony's under Phase 2A2 first...regardless whether you move within 1km or not. If you really move, then monitor the situation after that.My boy is registering next year and i have 2 options.

Phase 2A2 in St Anthony Primary

moving there is very expensive!!!! hahaha
i rather spend the money on tuition and other stuffs than to buy such and expensive condo!
I think i have no choice but to go for St Anthony instead.

:welcome: to KSP
you will find the info you need about primary school registrations here

and how to get priority here

basically, distance is not a factor in considering phase eligibility. It is only a factor for balloting within a phase.
Since you and your hubby are not related to the school, it is most likely your child is only eligible for phase 2C. Do read the FAQ.
