[Woodlands] Primary Schools

Hi buds
Heyya there Hifive! :hi5:Hifive:
They did...Wow, did the schools say when they will let you know? It's really no joke waiting for replies.
Here's what they all said..
\"We will ONLY CALL YOU if we have vacancy.\"
Woodlands Primary has a waitlist period of 3mths from the date you
placed the child's name on waitlist. When i asked if we had better
chance since hubs was ex-boy, the lady smiled and said, \"Can try...
No harm trying...\"
So, just photocopy PSLE result & attach with
all the other documentation like SA results (etc). After the 3mths waitlist,
period if you still don't get a call, can just call back to resume the waitlist
interest if we're still keen to have a space in the school.
Innova Primary gave me (US!) the best impression! :salute:
Had a great feeling the minute we stepped inside... from the
security guard, to the colourful playground area that greeted
us when we entered the school premise... to the reception lady
who was very nice... ... to the cute restrooms... to all the
staff going in and out of the office (all nice & student friendly)...
to the well-behaved children we encountered... the works put up
by the students... to the quiet atmosphere around the sch area...
to the school slogan, DARE TO DREAM. :please: I love everything
about Innova Primary. But don't take my word for it.. see to
believe.
Sorry, forgot to add (busy raving abt the sch)...
They offer 6mths waitlist period, after which we can call back to
resume the waitlist interest if we're still keen to have a space in
the school. Psst Hifive... they also have student care facility wor..
I've received great feedback abt this PowerLife Student Care service..
Needless to say, Innova Primary is choice #1 on our waitlist.
Woodlands Ring offers similar waitlist period and the lady was the most
helpful and very understanding... she looked at me with concern in her
eyes over the need to currently still send my girls to their current sch in
CCK at my last trimester. I told her, i need the exercise but just wanna
try secure somewhere nearer to here (Woodlands) cos no one to bring
them to school (in CCK) once i pop. So even though we really really LOVE
where the girls are now plus the fact that we know everyone and everyone
knows us... logistically, cannot make it for next year. What more since i
will be going back to work after confinement. Really cannot.
She was really really helpful and checked back with me twice over our
interest with the school. Sooo sweet... vice versa... i gotta inform her
once i already got another choice of school should it come earlier b4
a favourable reply on her end. Very professional.
The school has strong aesthetics and rich in art. The creative children's
work awed me and the school also boasts of many achievements in many
different areas. Woodlands Ring school motto / slogan... like Innova is
also simple and sweet... WE DO OUR BEST! I like that! School website is
informative and quite updated as well. Great for parents like us who are
busy to keep in touch with the on-goings of the school.
Woodgrove was a touch & go visit, due to the rain. So, it was just fill up
the forms and go... no look see... Lady who attended to me was polite &
she was attentive to the student's needs (those who came in to get help
with stuff...
)
Evergreen was the least helpful.
All i could remember from that visit was, \"Our school is very popular...\"
ringing in my ear. Again touch and go... due to the rain. Very rich in
aesthetics (including national awards)... has similar services for student
care option from Power Life.
\"3 months waitlist period... must
come back personally to indicate continued interest to be on waitlist
and yes, no guarantee cos our sch very popular...\"
I'm a people person, so i get anal with service staff who are high and
mighty sorts... so even if this school is indeed popular and very good
academically, i didn't get a good impression from the very first person
i get to speak to. I couldn't gather more details as well, cos really.... i
was told a few times, they are very full. Even if i truly did want to learn
more abt the school i couldn't...
I know..
All the schools around here are full but they attended to me professionally
and also sincerely. School recce-ing / hunting was fun due to the kind ppl
i've encountered along the way.
And definitely, thanks to daddie who helped drive me around. :snuggles:
Forever the best daddie. :love:Hifive:
Well, for us too... similar reasons, but preferably somewhere relativelyActually, we all hope to get a school near home. That's why I was considering to be a PV so that I can get my DS2 in at phase 2B.
with good track record. The one my girls are currently still at fits our
requirements perfectly but alas....
... some sacrifices need to be
made. The teachers have come up to us and also our girls saying
don't change school lah... and that our girls will be greatly missed.
Awww... :love:Hifive:
Yes, hopefully.... soon.... :xedfingers:Hope you will get positive replies from schools soon. Take care!

Hi wen2gal, what do you mean by academically inclined? If lots of homework but poor PSLE results and poor CCA is still bad. I am unable to find their PSLE results (percentage passes) so have no idea if that is the case.Hi Hifive,
From my understanding, Admiralty primary is very academically aclined, which i guess will add up stress level to your child.
Anyone else knows more about this school? Its one of the nearer school to my place. -
Hi… am new to this… am quite curious abt Si Ling Primary as welll… seems to be one of the better performing schools in Woodlands area… however not popular with people… wonder why is that so?
